Wow... what a crazy show! Many many thank yous to David and Angela from the Love Shack, and Amanita and the whole crew for making that party the success it was. I had a blast there and really enjoyed everything there.. And on a related note:
If you guys get an opportunity, bring Proteus out. His set was spectacular and he's a stand up guy! Definitely looking forward to hearing him play as well as all the incredible talent that I heard up there this past weekend!           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

awww folks, it's thursday already, and it's taken me this long to get my head working again enough to tell everyone just how damn good that party was...

def one of the best i've been to in years. kept thinking this was about the coolest place on planet earth at the time. music was top notch the whole 2 days through and more importantly had fantastic flow!! and actually even more importantly had fantastic sound system to hear it on. (THANKS LUVSHACK!!!!! )

this was the biggest rig i've ever had the pleasure to play on, and i have to admit that i probably played the best set of my life (as far as being in front of dancers-it's amazing what kind of stuff goes down when no one else is around to listen...heeheehee/sigh). thanks for all the kind words after my set, and special thanks to Brian/Amanita for loaning me the Cosmosis-New Order rmx. I knew that was gonna be a secret weapon/total floorfiller =).

musical highlights for my weekend were:
Mubali's sonic madness. this guy is gifted. he kinda tore open space/time and let the fractal contents of the universe pour out. =)

pr0teus played his best set yet imho. his relentless energy amplification was perfect set up for mubali's stuff

Amber and Shadovex, Spektra, Amanita, Cockblockers all let loose with bomber sets too imho.

Deco was fierce. really liked the dj booth with the moss and leaves. big thanks to Manuel and Kevin and friends for the awesome Visuals. intelligent lighting was also way cool, but the real highlight was the beautiful forest/mountain amplitheatre we were so blessed to be amidst =)

lots of effort went into this from many, many people. Special shout to Brian/Amanita and Joe/Capt Tripps for their never ending multitasking. and of course David and Angela for their wonderful generosity.

big smiles until the next time =)

Re: reviews?

Here are a few reviews....

Re: reviews?

I had fantastic time at Follow Your Bliss. Unfortunately, my stay wasn't as long as it should have been, but my time there was non-stop funery! The soundsystem was incredible and I was inspired to play all my good bass-line tracks. They sounded great! Finally, I wasn't saying "I wish there was more bass."

Psunspot played a killer set! It was one of the better psy sets I've heard in a while and the dance floor agreed! Squee played some really trippy stuff (heh.... At least it sounded really trippy to me And then of course, pr0teus and Mubali rocked the floor for the rest of the night. By the time Manifest was doing his thing, I was out of energy and in hang-out mode. We left shortly before The Cockblockers' set.

The rain was just a mild sprinkle and easily bearable, as long as you had the right clothing.

Great site + great sound + great music + great people = Bliss!

Rather glad I made it out to this one.

The venue was dealable (mostly incline slant, but wasnt BAD bad), the music was NON STOP the entire time I was there, the people were very relaxed, everyone was about having a good time, didnt really rain until 3ish lastnight too, so mostly dry.

Nothing bad happend that I know/noticed, so all went well & I hope to those who did attend, please do donate cause that's the only way these free events can be held.

Props to those who showed, MAD PROPS to Luv Shack for puttin it together proper, and props to those DJ's who spun all weekend and stayed.

PROPS TO LUV SHACK! This was a great time, lots of good fun and smiling people.

NONSTOP BANGIN' GOA PSYTRANCE *uNf* I danced 'til I could no longer stand. I would have loved to been there the whole weekend, but Im happy with what I got.

My Fav!

Newbie Pr0teus LIVE!
Damn.

I just ran up to this party at the last min. Was not really perpaired at all (and I should know better, I have gone to outdoor events before).

The girlfriend and I were still recovering from colds we caught while dancing too much last weekened. We had to leave early.

It's ok though... I got to hear Pr0teus. Never heard him outside on a sound system like that before. I noticed a lot of newbies who showed up to this event... they were really having a good time. One of the best sets I have ever heard, fucking great.

I sure hope Pr0teus is playing at the SOLSTICE July 17-19...

too bad the weather didn't behave.. ohh well.

There is always next time! We got lots of summer left! (now it's time for me to buy a bnuch of cool camping gear! Because I am going to a lot more of these events

All I can say is... WOW. This party was fuckin' AMAZING, and all the props in the world go out to the LuvShack crew for putting forth the time and effort to ensure that everyone had shelter, food, and awesome music to dance to. YOU GUYS FUCKIN ROCK!!!

Part of what was pretty cool was that a bunch of hardcore raver kids from the Ave TOOK THE FUCKING BUS as far as they could and then walked and hitchhiked their asses off to get to this party. Now THAT is true dedication to raving.

Special thanks to Nathan (with the dreads) for the killer hookup (you know which one I mean), Chris for the great company and conversations, Jason and Taylor for giving me a ride, and everyone else who's names I can't remember who provided me with entertainment and sanity while I was *ahem* "Following My Bliss". :-P You guys kick ass.

Arrrg!! I SO wanted to stay and party on Saturday night! The whole trip up there was crazy, the directions were a bit weird and we got lost, finally made it at five in the morning Saturday... just as everyone was going to sleep! I was the only one dancing for a bit, but I mostly explored the forest (OH MY GOD WOW) and hung out with my friends. Sadly the girl driving needed to be home by Saturday night, and I didn't want to risk being stranded if I couldn't get a ride... so I left too. I wish I didn't have to arrgg!!

I have to agree, for the most part, that this weekend was KILLER...I found only ***ONE*** factor that held any negativity for me, & that was the homeless kids who came & tried to bum EVERYTHING. on this point:
If you are planning to come to an outdoor party, please remember the following- COME PREPARED: if you can't provide the basics for yourself, such as food, shelter, cigarettes, party favors, then unless you are prepared to go without, you should think twice before coming. it isn't at all fair for you to expect the rest of us to support your habits. nor is it acceptable to expect others to put up with demandng, un appreciative attitudes.

other than that, I had A FUCKING BLAST...Mubali is THE SHIT...best producer on the entire west coast, IMHO...the vibe was very nice saturday night...Psunspot really warmed thing up nicely, & Squee was an unexpected treat as well...all in all, a great weekend in the mist

Evergreen

I had a good time, I didnt mind the rain at all cept for when i woke up in it lol... Gerald went fucking loke on friday, I never heard much of pr0teus before saturday night but I was very fucking impressed nice production all the way through no weak tracks at all you kept it coming, Mubali tore the rest of the night up and kept people dancing all through the rainy night. dammnnnn.... Thanks so much to luv shack for throwing this I didnt see anyone having a bad time, good vibes all around. The sound was LOUD as shit but crisp as wearing a pair of nice headphones, cant wait to hear the stonehenge...

Peace,

Brandon

Sir Trancelot
the trees were singing
What a way start the 604 in the north-east sector out with a BANG. Not to mention the Oracle party down the road. We had a lot of interesting DJs, with highlights to pr0teus, amanita, Gerald, and of course Mubali. As far as me, I was wearing a green long sleeved shirt, a blue one, and a trippy red hat most of the time.

[Thursday] I got there about 4PM to help set up a few things. I only live 30 minutes west of the spot so I felt obligated to come help set up canopies, get fire wood, and clear the dance floor of miscellaneous wood debris. With arriving so early, I was able to get a really sweet camping spot right behind a tree in the middle of the hill. It was completely flat right behind the tree.

[Friday] Woke up around 10-11AM to a beautiful mostly cloudy, yet warm day. The sun proved true later on, and showed its constant face in the early afternoon hours. I actually got hot as I was finishing up "smoothing" out the dance floor. It was kind of muddy in spots, so I sprinkled some saw dust in said spots. Met a dude named Rolson. He talked me into going down to the river for a little hiking adventure. I guess we didn't know about an existing path, so we were using his machete to hack through some dense foliage. I felt like a martial arts master swinging that thing around, cutting bamboo! Getting back around 3, I got my smoke on to liven things up and prepare for the energy blast that was Friday night. Soon thereafter, pr0teus and Kris arrived, and I helped them set up. Met wingnut around this time too. Most people arrived after sundown, which made setting up camp difficult watching them. Didn't do a whole lot until music started, and then I proceeded to smoke more and dance the night away!

[Saturday] Woke up around 1PM to a ton of tents set up around me in the middle of the night. I mostly just socialized and smoked, explored a bit of the forest up the hill, and took it easy before sundown. It was hard to save my energy before the big Saturday night onslaught by not dancing in the day due to my excitement, but I couldn't help myself at times. Almost half the crowd showed up late Saturday afternoon which was too bad since this thing was going on more than one night. I guess Jesiah and Owen left at some point Friday, but came back the next day with Rachael so it was good seeing that she made it. Around 8, I started feeling a little lethargic and realized I needed some "vitamin a" to help myself power up. My friend darkman brought his video camera with night vision, so those that thought they were incognito better think again.

So I don't know what else to say about Saturday night since it was getting to be blurry since being there Thursday afternoon. The only setbacks were the minature mosquitos and the homeless kids taking advantage of the free food instead of the actual party. Definitely awesome times were had, and I'm glad so many parties are happening up north this summer, it makes the drive sooooo easy for us north folk, so keep it up guys! I love ya all!

I had a blast at this party!!

This was the first time Sarah and I had play at a PsyTrance party, was great seeing the Psy peeps dance to the HardTechno, thanks for all the support!!!!

Stage was amazing looking, and the sound was incredable. That mixer was hella butter too.

I relay enjoyed Aminitas sets, he played some real groovin tunes!!

Everyone i met was way cool, well except for the beggers that were like "hey, you got an extra $8", LOL

Went on a walk down to the Skykomish river, and man that river is beautiful, im definatly going to make a couple trips up there later this summer to do a little swimming, saw some real nice swimming holes, and cliffs to dive off

I cant believe that there were actualy portable toilets at a free event, LuvShack you guys kickass.

Re: reviews?

Wow.. That was sooo much fun. I am really really thankful to have been a part of such an amazing party. I still am recovering and I think I followed my bliss a little too much this past weekend, but it was sooo incredible to be among all of you. Everyone's vibe was spectacular and I got to meet some poeple that I really would like to hang out with again.

Music wise, I really enjoyed pretty much everyone's set, but there were a few that really stood out for me... Spectra,Gerald, Amanita, Pr0teus (we're gonna bring you down sometime soon man), Manifest (same to you)...

I too drank entirely too much and everything was quite blurry. So here's to everyone's livers and I really hope you guys do more things like this in the future. I will see you guys at Phoenix Fest, and if you see my cds, lemme know! (editors note, cds have been found =)
