got amazing advice from greg the founder of kush audio when purshasing gears ,never pushing his products.
but this is a plug and not hardware,gonna try the demo tomorrow just to be sure but i m almost sold on this.
havent checked the video with good monitoring condition, but just the plug on the default state already add nice color it seeems.. it sound so sterile and itb when he bypass the plug at his default state..could be used like this on all tracks like summing probably and it can do way more than this ! |

this plug seems really cool...focused just on the saturation . the sound remind me the Ampex algo on decap but maybe a bit less dense but more juicy and less sterile a bit more musical maybe, it was a quick try but its in the same quality range i think ..good for plugins ..
this thing have lot of range in the subbtle zone ,lot of spot ..and i think it s more made and optimised to be used that way ..but it work as a distortion tool similar to decap the more you push the more digital artifacts get hearable |

fuck this plug is awesome it s a great mixing tool !..so many sweet spot.. and when you bypass, you wanna cry ...
used it more and this thing bring smile on my face when put back on haha love it, great mixing tool. |

alone in this thread as the plug is just AU but this guys,i think is one of the best plug i ever used...i was not really wowed, untlil i find some sweet spots and omg i think it s the first plug that give me smile like this..fuck i love it but sadly getting more and more used to analog my ears get relley sensitive to digital artifacts..stuff that just never hapen with analog gears when pusing them a bit..it just ruin a bit the experience, but i can say this for all plugins i used...it s a bit disapoitng as you can get such great sound , musical ,now i really want a ubk fatso..
just bought ubk 1 , next studio purchase >> ubk fatso in the rack  |

Interesting, although I do think Decap saturation/overdrive sounds better at higher input gain.
Same with the Softube compressors at high compression modes.
Will reserve my thoughts on this until I give the demo a test drive.

nectarios don't expect the same kind of plugin as decap or a replacement when trying it or you may be disapointed , use it as a mixing tool to shape your sounds, i tried it just on buss and master.. bets thing in the box for me. but it was a quick try.. when you bypass the transients get really unmiscal and less plesant..it also a mud cleaner by just runing the singal into ,leading you to less processing after this..and it groove fucking well !
but you have to work on it first to find sweet spots according to the source to make the thing really shine and must have tool |

I just expect it to sound good really. If it sounds good in a different way than the Decap or the Softube FET compressor, it does the job nicely.

i m always excited when trying new plugs like this..need at least 1 month of use to really get a clear idea and to know well the thing.. but so far it seems a good quality plugin that for sure, it s very deep ,lot of settings to dial in to shape the sound , to find sweet spots.
i used it mostly with the 40/60 parallel mix and the smooth comp almost dry most of the time for now..if one read and try it these setting work really well ...also see it as something that will stack up when using more instance (that where it can put your mix to the next level)
the headroom pot is brillant, all plugs that is dependent to gain should have this..
it s really good for taming peaks removing digital edge dunno how to say...
for example the mix with the plug bypassed was peaking at - 4.5 db , with the plugin on it peak - 7 db.. and the dry sound horrible in comparaison even if it s louder it have everyhting i dont like ,transients are horrible ,it s muddy... with the plug sound is so more plesant and smooth and musical even if it s quiter..these thing hapen only with great tool from my experience as i experienced mostly with hardware, usually louder is always better |
