classic hat party is not where in the entrance stand man and take the money but into hat 
its where somewhere in the morning organizator gf going around and get some cash from visitors, everybody free to choose the payment.
i remember then half of parties were hat parties.
but u should remember that pa companies take so more money this days and ppls needs at party so bigger.

I will elaborate about the greediness on one side and on hat parties on another... and mostly on the bitchiness of the crowd 
There IMO far too many parties in Israel, too many parties arranged by unpro ppl that think that they found the right and quick way to make some bucks and they think that all is needed is a 10 miles long telephone list and couple of 'bom shankar's and they are on the motherfucker.
About hat parties - hat parties impossible in this country. Why? because of the following reasons... First, hat parties are designed to be for not too many ppl.. At my party I wished for the best crowd I could get, and I got it - around 200 ppl dont cover the costs of a production even if all the dj's play for free ( And they did - all of them!! ). Secondly, those 200 ppl come with their mom's refrigerator on their car, and don't use the bar, which is a very important income ( and hey, it is a hat party comon, the bar is cheap as well... but no everyone these days goes around with a six pack of water )
The bottom line is, that most of the party goers, at least those that write here in the forum, like to talk about what they deserve and how they should get it... but they never see the other side, that sometimes does for them and invests for them and tries to make them as cozy and as special as it can be..
In the hat party I made, I would come real close to break even if ppl would use the bar instead of bringin their own.. But they didn't..
Well there is nothing to weep over spilled milk since the only thing to it is that I wont make no hat parties no more and then everyone can come to the party and bitch about 100nis at the door

nope, i dont have one so Nadi's gf, Pnina went with the hat which wasnt a hat, but an empty Coca Cola box hmmm.. She is the best!!!

I'm sorry to get you off the Hat party topic...
But it happened again today...
I was supposed to play at the braindamage party at the north today...
We had a 3 hour long way there including getting lost near the party and getting in arab villages and when I finally saw the forest just 2 minutes before the party I got a mesage from the organiser that the party was BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when I advanced another 100 meters I already saw lots of cars leaving 
What happened?
Why are they closing all the parties???

I'm starting to think that the main problem is that we are all good kids, who just can't say no to an officer. take example from the settlers in the territories. They just do anything they want. I don't suggest to learn violence & hate from them, but i do think we can learn from them about standing on your rights & stands. If we could make the halting of a party less easier thing, again, non-violently, maybe the police will think twice. there are many techinuques how to interrupt the police without using force. think about it..
