Interesting change....
I think it's too hard to earn status like that.
I am a member of this forum since the first day it was launched, and I think I am more than a "Junior" with all due respect 
Some ppl will try to open new topic just to get more posts, the forums will get more and more silly

Ok everybody, short explanation i didn't succeed to post before you did it. Some sights of view, points and plans.
1. The change ain't important at all, like posts counters are not important as well. Keep that in mind. This is free and open forum. But we try to keep it away of negative things. The only important thing in this change is top10. Due to not let traders reach their target and use this place for anti-trance movements. And yes, i consider that trading and downloading is against trance (i don't mean download -> buy cd) So, with the new system top10 is totally protectable and wouls stay so. It's easier to delete unrelevant new_post then monitor all those users who post 50 posts a day just to reach top10. this won't happen. period.
2. About best tracks. All such threads would be deleted. a new system is going to be developed shortly to allow some kind of voting poll. with strong moderation. So no reason to post any "best of".
3. Member status and names is a good thing to think about. that's why this thread is for.
