Fear and loathing in party reviews...

Are you ppl afraid to post your reviews here when they are not the same as the others?
In many cases I see ppl posting a review about a party and then I hear other ppl saying the opposite about the same party, only they don't post their opinion.
For example, there was a party that the whole thread of it was "wow, great party" and "killah"  but three friends of mine that were there told me that it was no more than ok and they have no clue why ppl post that it was so good.
it looks like ppl do not say what they think or are afraid to say something that others do not agree with.
don't be afraid to say what you think
if everyone agrees it gets borrrrrring 
(but don't start fights either, plz, be polite and nice to each other)

I prefer to abstain from writting reviews about not so good partiez,actually i`m writing only to express gratitude to organisers and friends.
p.s.
but i like yours "constructive criticism" style.

i agree with karnaf here.and almost sure i know which party you mean.as our friend said "it's funny how's the reviews on isratrance are sometimes so far from the truth"
and i think that if more ppl will right on bad party experience we will have less and less "bitching" threads on isra.that way we will know from which parties to stay away.

1. I dont think you know which party I'm talking about, because I didn't write this thread about a specific party
2. There's a difference between bitching and stating ones mind. I don't want ppl to bitch about parties, but ppl, if you went to a party don't be afraid to share what you thought about it freely (and politely). After all, without reviews, this section has no reason for its existence

1)you did gave an example up there.but maybe we are talking 'bout a diffrent case.
2)what i meant was,that if ppl will right some bad experiences they had in X org's party on the next party ppl will know to think twice b4 going and wont be surprised when the party suxxx.
thats all.hope for only good (real underground  ) parties

the problem is that many ppl here know each other and writing good rewiews on not so good parties they support their friends, keep in good relationships with the organizers, may be even get free entrance..I don't know
I really prefer to stay away from writing bad rewiews after the case I got PM to my mailbox from an X organizer blaming me for posting some thread. If ppl here don't know to accept criticism and don't want their production to get better I won't write anything and won't be visiting their parties for sure....it's their choice...and that hurts cause I feel that trance parties and trance music getting worse everyday and ppl need to understand that nobody's perfect and criticism is the main driving force for improving

ppl (includin DJs n Organisers) need to take constructive criticism in stride and as means to improve the scene rather than get upset...
Ofcourse constructive criticism is prolly a very subjective theme; but positive thinkin n approach will surely do wonders!!
Honest reviews will only help the scene to improve n if taken in in a bit matured way, it will certainly cause no heartbreaks or jitters or poor vibez..

I think there's a difference between hyping up a party and saying it was all "killlaah" and great when it's far from the truth, and someone who just doesn't post anything if they didn't like the party. I think if people don't want to hurt their friends feelings or are afraid of loosing their free entrance priveleges or whatever, they should just abstain from posting anything about the party. By all means post negative reviews (done in proper manner ofcourse), but licking the org's balls and saying it was all wicked and suppa when it's not, is totaly wrong in my opinion.

i have to say i totally agrre on that issue, i think that the problem is hmm... when u see a thread full of good reviews, it looks so dumb to add a reall not kissing ass out of any proportion "great job" "amazing party" and so on that u actually think to yourself why bother... as i met an isratrance member at a party a while ago at 6 am in the parkinglot and after a litle talk i asked her if she's gonna write something about this party and she said to me hmmm... "no i dont think so , i have nothing good to say" and trust me that person isnt really into "hinamim" or something like that but as i said, a reall review in such a mess of ass licking doesnt make a lot of differnce.

I think that when we see an ass licking in the forum everyone recognize it. its usually nothing more than "killaaa, blast" or whatever. in the other hand, the fact that many ppl have good reviews ( & you can see if users are connected to each other or to the orgenizers ) & there is one person that didnt like the party that dont want to stand up & say what he think - it doesnt change a lot.
Karnaf is sure rught with ptting that topic - but some ppl are just taking it too far.
thats what I think.

As i see it, israelis (us) can have totaly different opinion and perspective about the SAME experience they've been to. so maybe that can be the reason for big diversion between opinions.
If people are afraid to write their opinion, that sad. |

WRONG! If I see a thread of a party with 10 killllah posts and one post that say the truth, but in a polite way, I'll probably believe that one post more than the 10 others.
As far as I see it, the point of this whole section is for
1. us - to know which organizers respect us as party comers
2. us - to know which parties are worth the drive / hassle
3. organizers - to get feedback (good and bad) in order to learn from it.
This section was not built to become the organizers ego booster and their balls licking podium (sorry, had to take that psychild's post at the top )
