I love beethoven's 6 th..
on the more contemporary side, Rhapsody in blue is incredible           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

the 9 th was written as he was deaf which is also regarded as his greatest work.
I personaly dont like that much his music prefere more Bach or Kilar but classical music has lots of variaties and tastes .
Some classical music embraces only one romantic aspect like.Kilar for example drifts around many moods and combine them to something almost enlighting.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

This one was played in master and commander, although a little different than this version: Corelli Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 8 in G Minor

I also enjoy to focus on the particularities of the interpretations by some directors and orchestras.

For example I love Karl Böhm conducting the Viena philarmonik performing Betthoven 6th or any work by Mozart (specially the requiem).

Other director that I love is Karlos Kleiber, which interpretations are very powerfull and on a hole other level than the usual Bernstein and Karajan rutine recordings.
