on the more contemporary side, Rhapsody in blue is incredible

the 9 th was written as he was deaf which is also regarded as his greatest work.
I personaly dont like that much his music prefere more Bach or Kilar but classical music has lots of variaties and tastes .
Some classical music embraces only one romantic aspect like.Kilar for example drifts around many moods and combine them to something almost enlighting.

This one was played in master and commander, although a little different than this version: Corelli Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 8 in G Minor

I also enjoy to focus on the particularities of the interpretations by some directors and orchestras.
For example I love Karl Böhm conducting the Viena philarmonik performing Betthoven 6th or any work by Mozart (specially the requiem).
Other director that I love is Karlos Kleiber, which interpretations are very powerfull and on a hole other level than the usual Bernstein and Karajan rutine recordings.
