I have been a fan of Firefox for a while. I tried chrome and like that as well.
Don't know which is better. They both are killer

Opera is the best 
Chrome is good, but it's too simple. Firefox is good too, but only with extensions. I'd rather have everything I need out of the box. |

as long as the bandwidth is above 512 KBPS, all browser will work at the same speed. The speed differene for different comes into picture when the bandwidth is low...

Wrong. The connection speed is the same for all browsers, it all depends on rendering speed for various things - css, javascript, etc. The engine is what determines speed, stability and security.

This article gives in-depth benchmarks of all the major five, and it's conclusion is chrome is the fastest, followed closely by Opera (which has more stability issues). Safari while being very stable and conforms to all web standards, performs worse as does Firefox, and worst by a huge margin, Internet Explorer (in speed, stability and web-standards compliance).
This does not take into account plugins that can block ads and scripts (in which Firefox has a huge advantage). This does not take into account personal preferences (big brother Google, evil empire Microsoft, crapple, etc). These tests were all done in Windows 7.
