False advertising sucks!

i thought there would be a time this would pass already, but it just keeps happening all over the world, party after party diffrent places, diffrent organizations, some with good names some with not so good names.
what is the problem? well, flyers (in all their shapes and forms) say one thing, parties are a diffrent thing.
1. organizations come out with ridiculous lineups to draw people, either dont intend or dont close the deals with the artists advertised on the flyers and never care to inform the party goers about this most interesting crucial fact.
2. organizations use marketing lies like "artist X" live, and then only a dj set is done. or bring one of the acts of a 2-3 act group and claim a valid live can be done, or things along those lines..
people the power is up to you! make them cut the bull$hit and stop capitalizing on your wallets. dont support orgs. that once and again abuse you. force them to realize that without you, they dont exist.

hehe  ,
come to my city dude you will see what is false advertisement. they also doing it with tricks so you can't complain, like they will write Michanik Sound, then you say, wtf he is not here, they will have the right answer, it's not Mechanik Sound it's Michanik and this is someone different and will show you their one of "home" djs.
funny but sad.

wise words...and i agree 100%
people only care bout the cash they can do if they make a party...never care bout the people, who should b hearing a "live act...", thix is fooling peopleīs wallet...
thatīs a major problem...cheating on people, who sometimes come from a far way place...2 see a live act...
there are some orgs that i just simple donīt go...cause i got tired, of being in a party, without conditions...and changed line upīs...i know bad luck happens 2 everybody...but so often?
yes, i think there is a time 4 people 2 stop and think, if it is worth going 2 that party, with that org...
the pitty is that not everybody thinks thix way...in other words...donīt think at all...just keep consuming...

in my town there are a couple of students lines, one of them keeps selling false advertisingm such as groups that will not come, groups with really really wrong bio on the flyer, and so on....
the thing is, the people who go there dont really care.
thats it. if YOU yourself and you, do care, you will probably "know the fake", if you didnt recorgnize it, and fell one or two times... next time dont come... and for all the people who still go... they dont care, so really dont try to "do" anything or sway anybody... most people are like that... they dont come to hear sombody special... it meaningless to them. they just want the club, the people, the alchohol or what ever... |

id ask for my money back... thats damn cheeky, ive never gone to a trance party thats done that, but i have had the <un>pleasure of going down to cape town to see a group, and the organisers didnt bother telling us they hadnt left japan yet...  |

most of us are not related to the artists so we cant know for sure if the line-up is for real.
we can only baised on our/others bad expirinces or ppl's contacts.

It is certainly a problem... if not the outright lies, then you have to deal with promoters who 'hedge' their line-ups... a few years back a line-up in particular got me to be angry with this practise when they advertise The Delta, X-Dream, Spirallianz, DJ Arne S, and DJ Marcus... wow, five "big" acts and only having to pay airfare for two people! Isn't that nice
Best thing anyone can do is not go to the party I guess :/ don't support bad companies just because they make a lot of big promises.

heh, if you're ever in Croatia never go to astralis parties, those guys are the worst party organisers ever. They've been here for around 6 years and not once have we heard a live act at their parties...there was only one sonic fusion live act that lasted for only one hour. Apart from that they keep repeating guests like tsuyoshi suzuki, yaniv from cosmophilia and a few others. It doesn't matter what you may think of those guys as djs, the problem is that they've been here around 6-7 times. And every flyer and radio comercial these guys do always tells stuff like they are the best djs ever, that they own the scene and stuff like that. And the main organiser calls himself "the ambasador of electronic music in croatia" I could talk for days about these assholes...their only goal is to make as much money as possible, that's why I hate them

Its not so bad but it is still a little deceitful... I think its enough to say Marcus and Arne were coming for some DJ sets, and to mention that they are in the groups that were billed as playing "live"...
...at least in some cases I know these troubles have a real root to them. Logic Bomb played in Toronto a couple of years ago and I was initially angry that there was only one guy on stage... then it was revealed that they had just gone through the break-up, so its quite understandable...
...anyhow the convention doesn't seem to be 100% accurate in listing this kind of info, probably because only a few people (like myself) care at all. I suppose this is a seperate issue from the guys who make big fantasy line-ups which never have a chance of coming true. The best line is "invited artists:" followed by the Who's Who of psytrance people fall for this.
