Blimey, I just strapped that on the bassline and it jumped out with the same peak value on the meter.
Handy little tool this. Kinda "digitizes" the analog bass sound, but it does give it balls.

can be nice when aproached for his strenghs, but if it s for hoping it will replace some good analog saturation it have plugin sound writed all over it |

well yeah, its defo not analogue sounding.
but digital with mojo. actually i almost never use it for distortion but subtle sound sculpting. you slam it on your bass synth with the default setting and the bassline has that rubber vibe to it instantly, subtle yet easy to hear. its a bit like quadrafuzz without fuckin all over all the freq range in a weird way..
and then try using the "magic mastering" preset on subgroups like kick/bass or the master bus just to see how clean and cool this thing can make your sound in other applications..

Warm tape worked nice on a Moog Minitaur bassline I am making in this collab tune I am doing with Paul Taylor. He loved it as well.
Yes it gives this rubbery sound, I would not say its warm at all, but it makes the low end (not subs) very prominent on smaller speakers, it gives the illusion that even my MacBook Pro speakers give a low frequency that they can't really reproduce.
It does not work well with everything, but for some type of trance bass, it works really well.

i dont use it on bass, love it for sound design leads n percs grouped, puttin stuff b4 it allows me to indulge deeper without it increasing much gain,bit like a clever limiter in sum respects..

yeah love saturn i use it for the bass as well and for other synths and fx ! put it on gentle
saturation !! or a preset that you like i can't live without it any more ! |
