Lets just face the truth here.SOme people are not very good Dj's .SOme Dj's don't watch the floor.SOme Dj's aren't even aware of what track they are mixing into.Theyjust start grabing stuff and listening for a sec and see if it has a strong kik and bass line and mix it in they don't even know what track it is.That is how well prepared some DJ's are. And Besides most Dj's don'tconsider the Musical direction they are taking you when they do throw down a track .They listen at a shallow level ..What about Musical key from Track to track? OrMix color ,Its more than Beat Matching to Me whenI play a set.It feels Like Reikie or even devine Channel...But Still I ALWAYS know my next track sand what will follow that one.Go ahead and keep playing shity if you want.It just helps to separate the Milk from the Cream. |

I could not agree more many dj's like this today and so is the result of such nonsense and unprofessionalism! :!

Well, good or bad music is one thing and morning and dark music another. Still, I was referring to increasing the tension by playing extreme tunes which ofcourse a dj must know in order to do really well. Some people regard heavy psychedelic music as depressing beforehand. There are others who on the contrary think very highly of it. For me it must be trippy all the way and this happens to me nowadays mostly with dark tunes.

I have past from dark djs before much years,as I was a newbe psytriper and I really had nightmares with demons and monsters,but that was my fault because I was under an influence of hallucinogenic substance,and that is dangerous because you follow a dark path and the third eye is more anergised than the heart,it is more possible to use the demons tail and fall down than the white wings of an angel and fly high...

Dark & evil music is nice but not an evel dj that not realy know what to do with/Or realy care of what is happening on the dancflor and makes all being carzy & wants go home . And the dark music .. that "evil" one you talking of not must be heard that way . Belive me there is many other ways to play a good music without this shows .

Oh and please don't chase the girls off ... We need our woman UnsHaken and Intact...Besides most people who listen to this music are a bit strange any way..Dark Meat or white meat ,Its all part of a bigger picture.
Maybe some times we need the dark to be able to see the light and know that it is LIGHT....Dark Dork could probly add a few lins now ...Where is he any way? |

I don't see how psytrance can be truly evil and unsettling.. for really sick music I'll turn to noise (like Merzbow or Masanna), really dark and minimal ambient (like Deathprod or Lustmord) or some twisted breakcore like Venetian Snares.... psytrance that tries to be 'dark' or 'evil' always turns out to be silly and prententious.. |
