Eurotrance, Hardtrance, Trance... CYBERTRANCE, thats how we call this style here in Japan. All from the old Anthem style. Anyway, mainstream trance, cheesy, comercial (I know, actually psytrance is already too comercial also), and finally simple melodys, poor of creativity, not inteligent music. I used to listen to cybertrance in the begining, like Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Mauro Picoto, Faithless ...But now...comparing to psy...
I cant enjoy such a poor music anymore...
So noisy, repetitive, and predictable... Only to smile remembering the old times!;)
This Music Never Grows Up?

Note: Sasha do not play this style DETOX.
He is a genious from progressive house(deep trance whatever)!

Now Playing: Mo shic live at Lima-Peru...          "...Life must to be a preparation for transition to another dimension..."

well droid, but we are talking about the music, not the crowd.

club trance is nice sometimes, so is minimal trance, so is full on trance (rarely ) and so is tech trance, and so on, and on, and on....

hi karnaf, well, i write my impression about this music....maybe you have right, and we speak only about the music, but with all my respect, in my opinion, the crowd in any kind of music is very important....maybe not for enjoy in your home or car, but if you go to a club or party, i think is important. Also i want say, i´m from spain, a very turistic place, (you know), and here we have a lot of clubs in the coast specially for foreigners, and in these clubs you find this music....not allways but a lot of times this music go together with other things, and not good things, you know???

Faithless

faithless isnt connected to trance at all. its superb groovy triphop music with the best lyrics and best vocals u can have around. maybe check out one of their albums....tracks like "insomnia", "salva mea" are only made as fillers and chart breakers....check out their live versions and you'll see that they actually dont like how they sound in their original form as well

their live concert just rocks btw.          Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

Yea well that's not correct. They (Salva Mea and Insomnia) weren't made as fillers at all. They were made prior to the Reverence Album. They weren't immidiate Chart breakers. Actually they were rereleased more than 10 times before it broke the German market and then the UK and US one. And Rollo and Sister Bliss' work is pure genious be it House, Trip Hop, Chillout or Pop (Dido is Rollo's sister).
And Reverence is indeed classic gem. I have the very very first limited edition
One of my favorite albums ever...
And another piece of info, it was recorded in 6 days only! Excluding the already recorded Salva Mea and Insomnia.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Maxi Jazz is not a producer. He writes the lyrics. Rollo and Sister Bliss wrote for the first album. Rollo is not a member of Faithless anymore. Only Sister Bliss, Maxi Jazz and Jamie Catto.
And there's no room for comparison.

Hehehe... a moan and bitch topic.. I'm all for those!! You talk shit all the time about progressive and regular trance, but it's just as good as psytrance. And there are many people out there that like both styles, so...           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. Well, well...
My opinion has been always target to bitch...
1 - I know Faithless members are great producers and they cant be classified like this or that style of eletronic music! But Insomnia is a huge classic of Anthem style, maybe the first Anthem tune to get the top of the charts all over the world! and Anthem is the root of the trance (not psy trance). So Insomnia was my first step in the trance direction 8 years ago, I just got crazy about how that track could sounds so good! But if I listen to it today... Of course will not sounds like before. Will lacks of something.
2 - I love Sasha, Digweed, Mo shic and progressive HOUSE. But this is totally diferent of Tiesto style!
3 - Compare highest level trance productions with psytrance maded by kids is OK!
Same level!           "...Life must to be a preparation for transition to another dimension..."

WHAT??
Dont you know that Seb Fontaine "created" Progressive House mixing Deep House, BreakBeats and trance elements???
Dont you know that Progressive House can embrace many styles in the same mix???
Did you never heard some Digweed's Radio One Essential Mix????

Sorry DETOX, but Digweed is a Progressive House Dj for sure!

John Digweed: "The whole word progressive, the music I play, covers so many styles - deep house through to tribal. It all gets tagged under the same title, but it's a lot of different music. I try not to be pigeonholed. A lot of progressive stuff doesn't cross over as well as the trance sound did last year."
