I remember the standard price for a party before euros came in our life was 5000drx (I miss draxmes!!!)....
Alex I think there should be a new post regarding what exactly is meant with the world "Live" when we are talking about electronic music... |

Everybody speaks about new names and new artists but when they come in our country noone appears to see them LOL
Words are free my friends 
I aggree with Alex that artists charge a lot but this is not the reason that party tickets cost so much,there are other expenses that add to the high prices.
I also miss the old currency in Greece,since the euro everything is so expensive and you all know that.

25e are steal. i prefer to listen to doc and tim only and pay less.in my opinion they play much better than logic bomb (who was caught playing live putin a mix cd only!!!!)"alex candy know that 2".And what a madness with foreign dj's.we have many great dj s here that can make a real atmosphere at a party and not a fake just because max or skazi play.if promoters continue like this it is better to rent houses in thessaloniki for max skazi bamboo forest etc.then they don't have to pay their tickets and can use them every saturday just as it is.
wise up.ohh and something else.marc o tool who played great at decadance club the entrance was 15e with drink. someoneis really steals our money manipulating our moods. |

btw...strange but true Marc O'Tool played last week in Kozani and the entrance fee was 3 euros!!!!!
Of course, my friend Detox I know that there are other costs in organising parties...I have been around in this scene probably for a much longer time than you... 
It is true that sometimes new names do not bring along a big crowd...but then there is also less financial risk for the promoter....
We also forget that there are a lot of people who do not know all these artist names and just want to go at a party and have fun...these people would not mind if there were only local djs or one foreigh dj + locals as long as they would pay something like 15 euros entrance....
Also people often like to go to parties as a group of friends and have fun all together..so if the ticket is too expensive and some of them can not afford it then the whole group of friends does not attend....

marc o tool takes 5 times less money than big trance producers.decadence club is stable place with sound system lights etc...trance partys is a total diferent thing...with much much higher expenses.who knows,...knows.however trance will never stop in our city.I know all the organizers here.you have to lock them up to stop.keep it up |

if my aunt was playing at decadence there would have been 300ppl there!!!
my point being that no matter who is playing at clubs like deca or venue etc. ppl will be there cause these clubs have steady customers every weekend, which allows them to have a cheaper entrance.
parties are a whole diffrent matter to begin with...
detox ...if you want to book my aunt call me mate.... lololololololol

We pay too much for the dj's and it is true... we pay too much for the 'same' dj's to come back and play...
I think it's like an experiment... If you feed one with trash he'll get used to trash and when one will taste something good, one will think "oh! this is trash!"
Ppl in trance music are the same as elsewhere, decadence etc... if they don't know the song they don't like it that much the first time... But if the song is good they will definitely like it next time... (But I think you know all this, don't you?)
Promoters and organisers do give this chance to ppl...
(Some of course support only this label or that label, this group or that group... It is stupid and it has nothing to do with trance ppl for that matter... Or music, the reason I believe we are all here talking!!!)
And as for the low attendance at new artists' events, an example:
if u bring skazi 10 times a year, then skazi i would think is the best dj! Why go to a "does his mother knows him" dj and give 25 euro whereas skazi is definetely the best and he's gonna play all the remixes of the world (surely my new girlfriend who is not into trance that much will go for the metallica one, or for the michael nyman one or for the dire straits one or i don't know what else!!! lol) and he's gonna play the songs that because of the promoters and organizers mainly (skazi are not that disgusting after all - they try to do something good even if i don't like it - it's an example) are surely my favourite songs of my favourite dj that my favourite promoters or organizers bring to town so often and i love them also!!!
Anyways... I think that things are changing here in Thessaloniki... Even the youngest trance ppl are beggining to throw up with the same all same all... New djs are coming, progressive & minimal events are held... Ppl have a choice at least to attend a progressive or a full on party...
I wouldn't attend parties if i wasn't a music freak!!! (and not a drug freak euphoria, personally rarely do i do drugs, and sometimes by mistake lol!!! so son't give me the go for the music, 'cause we're all in for the music and some of us for the money... speak of the devil again!!! )
speaking of which!: i think that according to simple maths a lower dj paycheck would definitely contribute to a lower ticket... if it's a euro, it's a euro and it's half a bottle of water lol! It's a start... go for it... don't just say that it's the euro deal... euro is just a coin... we all miss the old days but nostalgia doesn't serve any purpose for this matter... DO SOMETHING!!!
P.S. Am I a chatterbox or what?... If I have offended anyone with my words... forgive me... I didn't mean to... (Party Announcement is a joke about some of the worst things that take place)

p.s. i got nothing against skazi, i just would like to see more of his own tracks (not sounding all the same) and a lot less remixes, cos i get the feeling he is running out of ideas....... sad. .

yeah I was there...I have always liked logic bomb so I dont know if I can be 100% objective lol but Johan gave a good live and got a big applause at the end...Only sad thing he was upon the stage for only an hour and a half! 
Then I think that it was Doc that came up on the stage, too full on for me and I had to leave.... |
