Peter Zen even if someone makes comments on your dj technique just listen to him and think things twice, then after that even if you think that he is wrong tell to him 'thanks for your comments,i will try even harder in the future' and close the conversation there           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Detox believe me,I'm more happy when i get a negative but true comment for a set ( or in any activity in my life wich can be judged by anyone), than a typical good one....
But only with a cause!!!
Otherwise i can't pretend the good guy
Anyway lets close this subject here..I believe there are more important things to talk about...
Peace

Well, first of all it looks as this has been a good party so congrats to everybody involved. I was not there so i am not going to comment or review the event.

However i have a few comments on the security issue. This may be offtopic but then again drug use has influenced the scene since its very beggining so it can never be considered off topic. IMO it is rather arrogant for organisers to treat drug use as something completely alien and unacceptable.

The simple truth is that "partying" has always been a combination of factors one of them, and in some cases a very important one, being drug-use. For the oldest of us it is only natural that with everything we ve seen all these years we grew cautious of drug-use. BUT: To appear all of a sudden purists with such comments as "it is all about the music" and "do not let drugs to destroy our scene" is nothing more than a shitloads of pretentious bullshit.

It is our responsibility to pass our knowledge to the youngest crowds about the dangers of drug-ABUSE. Luckily we do have the ways to achieve that since this is a small scene with many channels of communication available (Internet, Party Literature etc). And above all there is always the opportunity for organisers to restrict admission to people that may be using drugs in venues where such activity will almost certainly attract unwanted police attention. But if you let them in, in the first place only to increase your profit and then have security to violently throw them out, is at least pathetic.

And don't get me wrong on this one, by throwing them out you are not, in any way, protecting "our scene", which was always drug-influenced to say the least, but you are merely protecting your investment. Certainly, you have every right to do that.

Finally at time when the drug issue has become such a contentious global issue and people are doing their best to achieve a more fair, transparent and progressive policy it is rather sad to see people who have the experience and the ability to add something constructive to the debate to adopt such purist and conservative ideas because that is what suits their inetersts at this particular moment. There is a good word in English language to describe such a shift in attitude: It is called OPPORTUNISM.

That's all.

cheers

To atlanticarc:

You are right about many of your thoughts except
1) There is body search at the entrance. If the security finds drugs, they refuse admission. If anyhow some one pass the search, then if he use or deal inside,he is also thrown out.So we don't see the "pathetic"part of this policy

2) We are not protecting our investment. It is THE PPL investment since they are paying for the events. If the police bust us cause of no security control about drugs, well yes we are protecting the ppls investment for a long run lasted trance scene in our city

3) We didn't even had one epileptic or similar episode at such a huge event. We are proud of this and ofcourse we can say that our strict position against drugs is working out!

That's all
We wish that you will come on the near future at neraida and have a picture about our organisation.

So Peter this is my last post for that case!!!

Nothing personal with u! I like progressive trance as much i like full on , i hear long time psy-trance so i can c also the mixing skills of a dj! But what to do if u r mixing perfect and yr music sucks or the opposite! Anyway is not nessesary someone to know abt djing to say if he likes a dj set or not!
I said my opinion for yr total result which I didnt like the specific time! So this has to do with my personal wishes and nothing more! I will say my opinion good or bad always! What is the forum's job i think! All the djs and promoters must accept to be judged from the ppl who pay them!

hello all again

may i first say that, on a second thought, my previous post regarding drugs and the security issue at the eternal motion event may have been a bit superficial. Its absolutely true that partygoers need to be protected against widespread drug abuse and the police raidings that go with it.

My point was that we dont need to become patronising all of a sudden and start a war against drugs ourselves simply because much of the creativity and innovation that our scene has produced has been, at least partly, drug-influenced. And IMO we dont need to start developing a "guilt-syndrome" because of this simple truth.

That said, i fully accept your point about protecting the people who attend your parties from the dangers of irresponsible drug-abuse.

And finally: I know that you guys have been putting on a great effort. I ve been to one of your parties last year, it was when Oliver played live at a beach bar near Kavala, and it was a good event.

So i hope i did clarify some of the misunderstandings i may have caused.

Peace and light

Even that my last post about this case is allready written above i have something more to say..

I accept the fact that you didn't like my set and you have every right to say (write ) your opinion..
As i have the same right too!

So i'm really happy that you are just one of the few-and so far,the only one in this forum(as i can see from all the posts)-who believe that i was so bad..

It's a fact that even the best dj in the world can leave some people unsatisfied after a gig so..no worries for me mate!

There is just one thing in your post, that i really disagree with...

No .."the(one) customer is NOT allways right"..just because he pays..

In our case,"the(many) customers ARE right"!!!

And "rules" like that should fit to anything else except our parties...if you know what i mean.

The final conclusion for such subjects as party's,dj's,promoters etc..is a matter of the majority of the people's oppinion and not a matter of minority..

So,next time that you will be a part of the majority you might make me think a bit...

Nothing personal too...mate!
I hope next time you hear me,i'll make you change your mind and give you a really good time!
Because this is my goal at every party that i play...
I want to satisfy as much people as i can.

P.s what i wrote at my previous posts about how a dj should be judged by the people, goes to every dj and not only my self..

Peace
psytoto
