Like "psycho-italiano" said, how many of you have legally purchased your cubase or FL Studio or whatever software or VST you've used to make those killarghhhh tunes??

That’s so ridiculous it almost is hilarious.

If you buy a Picasso, will you check if the paint and brushes were not stolen, or somebody else’s paint and brush?? Or is the art in the hands of the artist? Who cares if the software is copied, it shouldn’t be, but it's completely irrelevant.

Hilarious!? Is it? I dont think so...

So you mean, all that hard work so many programmers have put into making a great software like Cubase or FL is nothing?? You can just download it and apply a crack and start producing music? Is it? You got the talent to make music... you want people not to rip your music.. you want everyone to buy it. Why dont you think about the programmers hard work here? You have any idea how much time and how many people it could take to build a program like Cubase?

The programmers on Steinberg are very well paid, they have contracts, a union, benefits, vacations, social security, they even must have free medical insurance.
So you're worried about these chaps? You got to be joking.
Steinberg is a multi-million dollar corporation, and sells software mostly for professional studios, and if you read carefully what I wrote, I said artists should have a legal copy, but imo, if they are earning professional money enough to buy it. The same with professional DJ's that imo MUST buy legal music, to perform professionally.
Anyway, obviously is wrong for an artist to play a track on his live set that isn’t his and only someone who has no idea, of the work evolved, or just plain dumb agrees with it.

I do understand your point.

But the way you're trying to put it across is immature. Its something like saying... you've got a lot of money in your bank account and you're rich.. that gives me the right to rip your software and use it (coz i have the talent, but dont have the money to buy your software).

I work for a company which deals with Steinberg on a weekly basis. So I do know how well they are paid and how much time and brains they invested in making this wonderful software.

Anyways, im least bothered about Eskimo playing some pendulum(whom i dont even recognise) track in his set. Piracy is piracy, whether its music or software. Period.

5 pages of people getting riled up about Eskimo stealing an intro... What a waste of time (unless you are Pendulum or their lawyer), just get back to listening to what you enjoy

@trollup - you're a saddist IMHO...

I bet you.. if i was the owner of this forum, i could have easily tracked your real IP. I knew it was you Mr.Psytracked... and i've never seen a saddist sucker like you yet People lile you are spoiling the scene by creating useless arguments.

You think you know a lot about proxies and the Internet? Anonymizers.. eh? You graduated from a music school.. right?

Ever heard of NetDevilz?

proxy........no fixed IP

you don't get it all i want is for mp posts to be deleted.......I asked for this before I started being abusive..............I was told by the mods that they can't..........this was a lie...they can.......so you see the power is there to make me go away for good.....and then your scene can be left in peace............so what do you reckon?

the real question is can your scene work together to find a solution to this problem?....because at the moment the moderators are not solving anything and forums members are getting disheartened by my relentless pursuit to have my posts removed, which can be done.........so why don't you and the rest of the forum work with the moderators as a collective to bring about the change that is needed?

That's not being done, coz everyone here doesnt have as much free time to spare as you, imho.

you know, no single proxy can gurantee 100% anonimity... even if you're using a paid service. Even if your IP isnt static, it can be tracked to your current ZIP code. This works very well in the US. If you're anywhere else it could be quite difficult. And if this forum was hosted on US servers, you would have been having a hard time creating a new user id!! hehe

AFAIK, you're from UK... right?
