Bedtime Story on my copy of Younger Brother is fucked... the entire track skips on some cd players, not on others.
And it's not the cd players' fault.

hello!
despite my initial anger and a post that followed after I bought the CD 
luckily I have to say it's not skipping, though it sounds like it skipps on Number Cruncher at 5.25. but after listening to this fragment on a headphones I can definitely tell it's a purposedly placed sound effect - there are few layers going from normal stereo to surround and back for a one second and it sounds great on headphones, but weird on speakers, kinda off-beat or something...
so, I think the mystery is revealed
btw - the album kicks some serious ass!!! |

well, I don't think I got some special edition too! I rather think that most people didn't noticed this, because it is depending on a systemu you play it with. take a headphones and listen to it carefuly - you'll hear a spreading stereo field and that effect on some speakers (like mine) sounds as if it was slowing down or something. so, if you listen with headphones or good speakers, you'll probably not hear it
and the other thing is that most people don't listen to the music good enough - I do, because I buy only 2-3 CDs per month (if I'm lucky), so I listen to it many times in all possible situations, so I know every sound and effect after few weeks |

Honestly, I've been noticing this crap on a lot of CD's I've purchased recently....With this nonsense, no wonder people burn everything.....Even if you buy it, you get nothing.......Sad......They need to put a little bit more into each release....Don't just print all you can...Make sure it's quality.....

Well... on the 3rd Shpongle album that was just released there is a very notable skip on 31st second on Connoisseur of Hallucinations.
I know for sure that it's not only my copy. A check with CDEX program revealed no problem with the CD.
