ZEN PARADOX

Zen Paradox was established in 1991 by Steve Law as a solo outlet for his more techno oriented
electronic music work. Steve has previously been a member of the groups Foil and Guild of Fire,and is a current member of Black Cab and High Pass Filter. His other solo projects include Mutagenic Mind,Mr. Suspicious and Solitary Soul. Steve has been producing avant garde and electro-acoustic music since 1984,
and in 1996 was awarded the ABC Classic FM Computer Music Award for his composition"Urbania".
He has collaborated with many other artists, including recorded works as Starseed Transmission(with Andrew Park)
The Sonic Voyagers (with Voiteck), Retreat Syndrome (with Andrew Belcher), The Mutagen Server (with Ollie Olsen),
Son of Science (with Andrew Garton) and Memory Geist (with Bakis Sirros). His live collaborators include Monolake, Andy Vaz,Atom Heart,Tetsu Inoue, Riou Tomita, Alistair Riddell, Ash Wednesday, Stephen Richards, Sean Baxter, Tom Fryer, Rod Cooper,Ai Yamamoto, James Wilkinson, Dale Nason and The Terminal Quartet. Tim is a producer and DJ and one half of production duo: COBURN. The Coburn debut album is already exclusively available thru amazon.com,and is officially out on JULY 2/07 on Great Stuff. So don't delay and order today.
As well as his own gigs, Coburn will be doing a load of live dates over the summer supporting their debut album release.Having just returned from a hugely successful tour of Brazil, where Tim's own stage, at the 1200 festival, showcased Tomcraft, Atomic Hooligan and The Egg,Tim is back in the UK on major production duty with Coburn partner, Pete.As Coburn, Tim has just turned in a remix for Mercury Records' signing:Shiny Toy Guns (Listen on the player above). Next up on the Coburn studio schedule is some utter noise terror as Tim has just taken delivery of some juicy new outboard studio kit.Coburn are the producer/DJ duo of Pete Martin and Tim Healey.
Together, they represent that space between rock'n'roll and dance where pretty much anything goes.
As producers they are at the cutting edge and in demand, with their original material and dance cuts frequently topping charts(Cool Cuts, Beatport, Buzz) and getting regular radio play.
They have single-handedly pioneered the "crossover" indie/dance sound and all but given birth to the dance-style currently hailed as: electro-house.
Thanks to their releases and legendary Rock Da World/Dirty Beat All Stars events, as DJs, they have headlined clubs and festivals from the UK to Japan. They are currently some of the hardest working jocks in the UK, who when
not touring are on permanent production duty in their west London studio.Years ago, they kick-started the mash-up/remix/re-editmovement in the UK with their re-edits of The White Stripes, The Hives and Nirvana.
Even to this day, their highly sought after strictly limited releases change hands for big cash on ebay.Their critically acclaimed label: Frontier Recordings continued to showcase their talents as dance producers,until, in 2005, their monster dance anthem: We interrupt this programme, turned the modern commercial house track formula on its head and was signed to Ministry of Sound, and championed by Radio 1's Zane Lowe and Jo Whiley (among others). Their follow up, the Moroder-esque Give me love (2006),continued to tear up dance-floors across the globe.To celebrate 4 years of their cult status, Frontier Volume 1: Mixed by Coburn was out in May 2007,accompanied by 2 x promo 12" singles.Their debut artist album is due in July on Ministry of Sound/Great Stuff, and recent collaborations with Robbie Rivera and Princess Superstar in the pipeline, there will be no rest for the wicked at Coburn HQ.

Kernelcoremode has been involved in electronic music since the end of the nineties.Having a wide knowledge
of underground music, and influences from most genres, his sets can vary depending on the occasion,always presenting the freshest, though, of contemporary electronica.
KCM has been running Creative Space for the last 4 years, an organization which releases, distributes and promotes alternative electronic music, as well as hosting events that have covered the majority of the vast spectrum of electronic music genres.

KUMO

Born in 1977, Kumo (Antonis Siakas) started his music career as an
amateur towards the end of 2001 spinning house oriented tracks, later
changing his style more towards progressive in 2002.
His first appearances took place in Mirror Club, as part of the
Musicology O.D events of whom he is also a founding member. The
following year the party moved to Danza and the season 2003-2004
Musicology O.D appeared on a bimonthly basis, giving a, widely
considered, new breath to the Athenian progressive scene.In the midst
of 2004 three Musicology O.D events take place in U-matic with Kumo
literally stealing everybody's attention, resulting in appearances in
The Edge After parties with Dj Mikele in Raj club, while summer found
Kumo playing in Fuze, Gossip, Danza/Mykonos, Alta Mar/Ikaria broadening even more his popularity in
Athens' club society.The beginning of the winter season 2004-2005 Kumo plays in Plusmatic,
and more appearances in the same club follow at least twice each month.
In his career up to now kumo has played with the biggest names of the
global dance scene, like Anthony Pappa, Lexicon Avenue, Matthew Dekay, Paul Rogers, Marco Bailey, Redhead.
His musical style in characterized from a particular relation with the
progressive sound, beginning with warm and deep atmospheres and peaking with techy vibes, without the absence of break downs.

Excellent news..Amazing electro night....
Tim is genius...still remember the set on progressive stage with him and like Quirk(Tim Healey & Mark Allen).....for sure i will be there....

...hmmm... i dont see anybody mentioning anything about zen paradox (apart from the promoters), this guy has been one of the most important artists of the early nineties in the genre, tracks as "the light at the end" and "floating without chemistry" back in 92 are some of the most beautiful music the psy scene has ever produced (even though he was always considered an acid techno producer-back then the lines between techno,trance and electronica were very thin), and many of you who have been around since the earlier days of the greek scene must've danced to these tracks countless times, especially in the days of alsos... His tracks were played in the first parties in goa, and created the basis for what was later called psychedelic trance... so forget about tim healy and realize who's really the legend in this line-up... |
