Yes

That's right.

The nerdgates have opened.

Who enjoys this game besides me?

I have played.

Myself and my friends (trancers as well) ran a game where we were a merry band traveling to a festival on the far end of the continent. Plenty of jokes, random characters, and 'magic plants'.

As a former Magic TG player I hate D&D players which just filled up the tables at game shops

But at least MTG has the competitive side that makes it much more fun.

On the other hand there are more girls playing DnD.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

Its so competetitive its not funny. I played online and did ok in draft, won like 1 out of every 3 drafts but still not enough on mtgo. Rich people win at this game

I have given up. I still have cards on mtgo though if anyone wants some for messing around hit me up, you can make an account for free. Very hard to even break even. Especially if you smoke/have smoked exotic herbs - its a jungle and people are sharper than fuck out there.

I quit playing 7 years ago, when some dudes stolen my extended decks (just before pro tour qualifiers).

I enjoyed to play at tournaments, draft or constructed. Indeed you have to expend a lot of omeny to keep being competitive.

I really never got in to MTGO, it wasnt the same with out real cards.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

Was a huge DnD & Shadow something or other player in high school. With some good metal cranking' & some bongs n' beers

Grew out of it but do enjoy a few of the online role playing games etc.           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

me n some o' my mates do campfire style -- which is without paper, dice, etc., all in the heads of the players and DM..
it's true i feel a little nerdy, but it is a good place to go, and we can create whatever kind of universe we want to go to.. it's a good mental outlet and exercise.
i'm dm'ing our current campaign.. i have created my own solar system with it's own million year history, 3 peoples with their own cultures, technology and spirituality, as well as a reimagining of the beginning of life in the universe that ties into the major plot arc..
it's very good for when i'm feeling the need to create but am too burned out on music.
