Is anyone aware of tracks that have elements of dub reggae and idm? Like Pole, or Deadbeat, but with more happening that's associated with idm? I'm especially curious if any of the big names in idm have released any tracks or remixes with a reggae/dub sound.

good point...alchemie dub is the only really reggae-styled one, I wish he'd make more tracks like that. Of course, I also wish he just keeps doing what he's doing, as he has the Midas touch.

"Blue - Resistance" (emissions audio output,1995)

This is a little older and OOP, but still worth tracking down. Heavy on the dub vibe...nice backing IDM undertones and sounds. Has a hint of FSOL circa 'lifeforms' in parts too. definitely a must have for the dub folks.

was told about this track, and obtained it, today:

airliner-minus 13 point 5 degrees celcius

starts off in a pole/deadbeat vein, but then a melody develops. Haven't heard any tracks quite like it yet, I'm really pleased with the discovery.

I just recently rediscovered this and put it back into my rotation, it's even better than I remembered! Ooze is another good one for sure.           "The sparrow is sorry for the peacock for the burden of its tail" -Rabindranath Tagore

You've discovered Deadbeat for me! Thanx!
And what Pole albums are in that style? (all i've heard was clear idm, without dub).

the first three pole albums (named 1, 2, and 3) are all pretty dubby in that minimal german kinda way.

Here's some more free, full track idm-dubby mp3s, I'm glad I was reminded about this label by Andrew's post in the other thread...their most dubby artist, Once 11 has a new album out. Didn't care for their first one that much, but was digging the samples and just ordered the new one.
