						| Best oldskool Dubs ever:
"Showdown at King Tubby's: The Scientist Vs. Princy Jammy" (1980) Almost 25 years old, the Studio One boys dubbing out Roots Radics band..but it sounds as smooth as today's Ambient Dub productions! visionary, groundbreaking.

"Lee Perry and Jah Lion : Columbia Collie" (1975)
this has mad rhythms, smooth toasting, great old skool regae samples - intelligent lyrical explorations praising..the crazy COLUMBIAN WEED..a true classic. Lo-fi and spliff-o-riffic!

						| I don't think anyone has mentioned Manasseh meets the Equalizer yet.
'Step Like Pepper' is absolutely top notch.

						| I'd play more Dub if it was easier to mix......Dub tracks always seem to have the clumiest of endings. fading out in a very dated style or just stopping dead. |

						| whoever said Basic Channel is very right.
Rhythm and Sound is fantastic, but if you prefer a warmer less empty sound (some vocals) try stuff on the wackies label like African Roots.

otherwise a must is King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown' or 'Rockers Meets King Tubbys In A Fire House' by augustus pablo.

and look out for big trojan dub box sets which can be acquired on amazon very cheaply. some absolute gems can be found amongst the less memorable.

a final suggestion is a more minimal tech sound by deadbeat: 'wildlife documentaries'. really good album. deadbeat's new album is not nearly so dubby (in the jamaica sense)

Absolutely no doubt this CD owns. The intro to Money where the cash register sounds are replaced by "hitting the bong" sounds is absolutely brilliant!! Just one of the many, many wicked moments on this release.

the sound of ~scape has gotten worse in my opinion .. i still ike the new deadbeat cd but the rest of their release since r not as good as b4

also try releases from Different Drummer
al-haca sound system, g-corp over prof soundsystem ..so on
