anyone have any suggestions for some really epic dub? I'm looking for loonnngg tracks (at least 15 min) that will really take you on a journey. "Re:Sonate" by Pete Namlook & Gaudi would be a good example for stuff i'm looking for.

Thanks!

Sub Oslo. I prefer Dubs in the Key of Life to their second album, Rites of Dub, but both are top notch. Their track on Sub Signals is edited way short, so don't be fooled into thinking it's not epic.

>vector_0 - check out the Dymons track 'Blessings' , it's around 17 mins and contains some nice tribal dubby elements.            - - It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice... - -

well, dub seems to be a loose term here
so i add banco de gaia's kincajou (duck! asteroid) which clocks 36 minutes and gives you really the time needed for a pleasant dump with your favourite comic book... gotta mention thats it's a very very nice track too           "no one ever sweats on a plug-in" -moby

In the "roots" side of dub, there is plenty of tracks or gapless splits in 12"s...
"Showcase" style (reggae + dub version) or extended versions. You can find them categorized under "Disco 45 dubs"..
Radikal Roots have been re-editing some great dubs aswell, very progressive and suitable for chillout.

Another killer option, are riddim-based albums from Burial mix, Rhythm n Sound to be more precise. Turn off the Auto Cue and let it roll for as long as you need. See mi Yah.

taking a very loose approach to the classification of dub:
- on the psy tip there is the classic "under the overtone" by the infinity project - needs to be heard very loud to appreciate the sub bass tho
- bill laswell + pete namlock's "psychic & ufo revelations in the last days" weighs in at a mammoth 38 minutes
- most of the tracks from pitch black's "futureproof" album from '99 (soon to be rereleased outside of nz) segue nicely into each other, especially the last 2 tracks
