humm..quite dificult to answer that..i mean, it probably is more like diablo since in oblivion you can play in 1st person view, and in diablo only on 3rd person..
but check in youtube some videos, it is the pbest way to check it 
ps: it is highly recommend this game!
i´m sure you´ll love it

Well, I like diablo because the magic spells, clothes, armor and weapons have unique looks, good efects soemthing that made them special, in Oblivión while the game play is superb and I also love it everything seems generic, specially the magic spells.

^^ i dragon age you can also be also be a magical caracther if you wish..and you can be like a more destructive way (like morrigan), or more healer (like wayne)
