No offense but I think you are bullshiting yourself simply because you are not directly experiencing the damage. Like people pointed out, it is very easy to talk when you are sitting behind your monitor and are not really suffering the consequences. But lets for instance, have everyobody dump their garbage in your backyard, or pump their sewage directly into your livingroom and you can tell us all then how committed you really are to your premise. Until then, everything else is just talk.

Well this is the thing.......I am not convinced by this global warming thing............and I am not bothered personally by it.......I have 2 friends who will argue until they are blue in the face about it......we must do this, stop doing that etc........well the real irony was that I leave a smaller carbon footprint than both of them......I won't let them preach to me anymore and quite rightly they have shut up about it.
The real problem though, if global warming is to be true, is the attitude of the believers. If we are going to tackle it we need more people to start being active........I don't know doughcherry, but what i do know is that he brings much needed balance to the forum.......On the crusade against global warming we/us/you are going to face people like him and if all we/you/us can do is personally attack him for not conforming to our ideologies then we are in big trouble. Because in the end all we will do is push these people further away................and that will not be a victory for the stop global warming campaign.

we all are. carbon footprint is only part (the most hyped part of late) of the picture.
its not a matter of him being singularly bad or worse than you or I

about global warming- i can assure you there is massive climate change afoot. i have seen it on every continent i have visited (only 5 so far) and more in recent years than ever before... i live in switzerland dude and the alps are melting, the summers are all rain, the winters start late and end late, and shit is changing. ENOUGH with your "questioning of global warming" already- that is so 8 years ago... where do you live anyway? texas?
make no mistake- i do not think that each person and their nice ideas will stop this or help it... we as humanity need to make a coordinated effort to KNOCK IT OFF and get IN LINE
this will involve pestering governmental and trade bodies ENDLESSLY and never stopping. just harrassing them until they coordinate.
this may involve changing political systems...
but in any case- i think we can do it. i think we can survive and get along on our lovely home planet earth- and not ruin the entire place just for some fucked up "modern" aesthetic which sucks anyway...

if you dont think global warming and human driven climate change exist, then at least support what you DO know will make the world a better place environmentally speaking
support it in policy
support it in public forums

Ocelot you really don't get it do you...........who is going to listen to you when you have that attitude?...................you are able and knowledgeable..........mother earths needs people like you to carefully show them the harm they may be doing and offer advice on how to make a mends. All you are doing is pushing these people, the ones that needs this knowledge away and creating a schism which will in fact take us further in the wrong direction.......your over inflated ego is actually having a detrimental effect on global warming, albeit indirectly.
