I really dont want to turn this discussion into some physics or phylosophical thread but the whole you so proudly deny is what you can call a mathematical "dogma"....it is a reality justified by itself.
So, sorry but now you dont know what you are talking about.....
Chaos exists as harmony does as predictability does as impredictability does. Now what determines the ratio of each is far more complex and i dont pretend to know but (and you can read about it) it is a premeditation far beyond your ideas of chaos.

I guess that is the reality of the situation. Some people like Doughcherry are simply not going to want to do anything about the situation, no matter what anybody tells them. So at some point we have realize that we are just wasting our time trying to convince these guys and instead we need to work around them.
Another thing we have to be aware of is the sinister forces that are controlling the world economy. How much are they fucking things up for the rest and how much are they really getting in the way of a real solution? Like are we ever going to get anywhere the way this world is structured economically? You know we are raised to feel like worthless beings that need to be competeing against eachother. We are forever in survival mode, and educated to want to climb up some fucking pyramid of power where at the very top you see mostly bunch of assholes who have lost all connection to anything compassionate and with heart.
Hey we have to admit we are all playing this stupid game. I am protectig my own interests, and so are you. And that is the problem. I go to my job everyday to fuck you in the ass without you knowing it. I pay my taxes, go by the rules, drive my car, get my new digital camera, mind my own business and work for myself. If I have enough money I will buy a car, a house and maybe throw a few pennies to the unfortunate.
However its very hard to break from this game because in our minds we think, well If I break out from it then everyone will get ahead and they will look at me like a poor dirty dude with no money. Girls wont like me, my family will be dissapointed and my friends will judge me. The whole world will judge me, so I better go on and play the stupid game of chasing after money. So you know, everybody is protecting what they have because they only see a very little reality.
And its so impossible to break out from this nonsense because we have been educated to feel like little humans who can't go beyond to a more enlighted reality. If we were not scared, if we believed in ourselves we would reach out and break the spell.
I am just trying to see the big picture here.
On another note, don't know if its true but I have heard that supposedly there are already alternetives for energy that do not pollute such as ZERO POINT ENERGY. But apparently this technology is being surpresed by a certain groups with a lot of power and money which they DO NOT WANT TO LET GO. They want to make a lot of money out of the rising prices in oil. Fucked up indeed.
How much of our freedom is being surpressed. If we were truly free we would maybe not be so inclined to manipulate others. But everybody does it, so we do it too.
But you know, we may not have anything if we choose to be real.. but we'll have life:

but i watch as the corporate world orders more new hardware in new boxes with new styrofoam peanuts trucked in from god-knows-where and the old version goes in the dumpster. i watch as zillions of pet bottles go to become second rate plastics with a net energy loss.
say you want to start an eco-village- there are many impediments in terms of construction code/law, and societal norms that may try to prevent you from building your earthship of your dreams...
however, i tend to think all of this is sitting on one side of the balance, and while most of society doesnt give a SHIT, there are many factors sitting on the other side of the balance that soon makes it viable, possible, and very soon encouraged to progress.
the more crisis grows in our face, the more we are aware of it and we change.

most things are dc powered in their actual operation and use wasteful transformers to deliver the required dc voltage.
led is also not so expensive considering you don't need to replace it and it doesnt flicker like most of the fluorescent crap.
why not structure ones own lifestyle the way one really wants to live?
its all integrated anyway- exercise, green living, healthy diet, it all goes together...
there is not some magical silver bullet but rather an understanding about our world and home that will be the way forward
and when the pan gets hot enough, as it is getting, the meal starts to cook...
