I think it is time to stop using the term "west" its racist in my view.......stereo typing like that......I personally don't like it.
Ellon I was saying people know what they are meant to do, but they don't do it.....educating people on the issue isn't enough.......it isn't having the desired effect.
I don't know anyone who doesn't know about recycling carbon emissions etc......I just don't......But I know plenty of people who don't do anything about it.....don't do there little bit.

Ocelot and Psytracked i find your ideas and your opinions very intersting and respectful.
Doughcherry is a real chaos magician for being the reason of your fight...
But i think this is a very serious point.
Now i see how the power of chaos and emptiness turns into a very negative form.
This is the case:
When a problem so serious and vital is taking place there are two possibilities:
1. You are part of the problem.
or
2. You are part of the solution of the problem.
There is no other way.
I just managed to see that.
There is no alternative like : "I am not doing anything about it but i am ok."
Yes from now on everyone who is not active about earth issues his is (etheir he like it or not) PART OF THE PROBLEM.
So for someone who is active about earth an inactive person can be truly his enemy like the ones who polute earth.
It is the same thing:
Not helping = make the problem bigger.
From that point i can understand Ocelot's rage.
(But it would be more fair if it was more polite...)
Psytracked maybe you didn't realise that Ocelot's stand is the right stand against the problem(doughcherry like persons).

I think some of you have seriously under estimated doughcherry and his motives.
I think he/she is coming from the view:
"don't be a tree hugger, how is hugging trees going to help?.....you expect us to buy that shit?"
and i have to say I agree........I am tired of the love peace and unity shit that gets thrown around here.......it isn't solving the problems we face......it just isn't
We can all create our own little place to feel at ease and fluffy etc........but that don't change shit......in the end it don't change shit......it is just another means of escapism.....and doesn't really tackle the problems.

When you hug someone it means that you love him or at least you like him very much.
It is a start to love or like the trees instead of loving the emptiness and chaos.
It does change the way we are thinking...
It is a start to realise that nature is our MOTHER and we must LOVE her.
It is not our playground to do whatever we want. It is our home.
There is hiden value in this, don't you think?
A forgoten value.
You wouldn't hurt a friend as easily as a stranger, right?
And when someone is attacking your friend won't you try to defende him?

This way isn't for everyone......the more it is associated with the campaign to stop global warming, the more people are going to switch off and ignore it.

I still can't understand why every truth we feel about our planet must be associated with the campaign.
It is not the global warming the real problem but it is the effect of our (human) behaviour.
I think the most important is to change our behaviour if we wish to see a different effect.
And almost every people (me including) participating in this topic are willing to change (if they haven't already).
And who is the main force driving this campaign?
The people?
The politics?
Some organizations?
I may have not the whole picture...
I can not believe that something so noble( the global warming campaign) can hide a politic masterplan inside it.
Please inform me...

Do it yourself and influence people by your ways and not by your(forced upon)strenght...
We are still very far from a state of unity which will allow mankind to get rid of the dominant vector of the equation and until then we should personally take actions upon such matters....
Regarding the treehuggers, i am proudly one when it refers to chainning myself for weeks to a tree that is bound to be cut to give way to a new road connecting the new giant shopping center...

psytracked i really would like to know in clear and point form what is it that u suggest we do??
lets stick to point..its easy to divert and say this doesnt work that doesnt work..etc etc
what in ur opinion is the answer if there is one?
is it helping bring about a change in the mindset of ppl. that the global warming/climate issue is theirs and a personal one?
or is it all of us taking small steps similar to the ones i mentioned?

ps: im glad we are having this discussion and hopefully like the others it wont be left half way and become just another thread.

I don't have an answer... someone one told me that if you know a problem you are already half way to solving it...........I believe we can find a solution........when we have finished hugging trees.
