global warming is only part of the picture.
HUMANS TRASHING EARTH is the big picture topic...
if you think of any way to reach out to people who want to be contrary let me know...

Very true and sad...and for long time we have done so but the past 200 years witnessed the growth of technology which actually meant the growth of our means to fuck-up the planet.
We are growing very much apart from the planet and its ways...guess we "chose" it that way. And Ocelot is right when he says that we will have to push hard for a social-economic change and the growing of a new consciousness for it is the only way to turn things around. To finish i want to leave a thought in the form of a question:
Since the advent of "modern civilizations", man(a religious being) has put his conscious into concepts not "visible" to him/her creating natural gaps between himself and his "sacred dimension"....it would be a blessing to us all if we would turn to the earth and focus some of our need of sacred identity to her...its pretty much the same as to create bonds with your children or partner. Can anyone here deny of the existence of such bonds and that they are in fact our own creation?
Respect the earth, its an amazing, mystirious creation and we are all part of it...the further we are apart the least we will understand ourselves.

its common sense. a guy makes a thread called "dont be a treehugger" on a psytrance forum- most of the members probably consider themselves a treehugger etc... but i digress...
the people respond with "we share a planet, please join our concern that it be kept nice"
he responds with "im not listening, it doesnt exist"

this is seized upon by the great crusader psytracked, and now i am the subject of this thread
which i reject.
bring it back to the subject of this thread- and my apologies to the group for wasting your space and time with my petty fight with psytracked...
THE EARTH :
the earth is our mother and home. we come from earth. we are made of materials from earth. we eat breathe and shit earth. we are part of earth.
and yet our society has gone so far in a polluting direction and we have invented ways of thinking that separate us from the nature we are part of...
