Well, I was just wondering what is your small contribution to the trance scene.
For example (now this is a big example): Shivas & Shahar here made this forum and site where you and me can get news about trance, talk to artists and label ppl, organizers etc etc.
So I was wondering who is each and everyone of you. What do you do to make this scene better?

Or am I just really bored at work right now?

same-same here. i buy cd's every month and some 12" from time to time, i convert ppl on my school to trance and i like to show other ppl how deep the trance world is. phew, i made trance lovers out of boom-boom music haters
oh and i spread love & light on parties

anyways, this isnt an answer to the topic in whole, because i dont do something for big masses of people in my country. i concentrate on the small things in my relationships.

Very Little "contribution"... as here in my region (North-East of France) the Psy-Scene is almost non-existent.. so we sometimes build small parties (max. we had about 350 ppl) with cheap prices and (we try) cOol spirit... We only had deejays for the moment.. but how hell i would like to introduce a live act one day !!

The Crowd, often used to be Techno PartyGoers (We are near the German boarder so Techno is THE thing around here) usually are fond of our ideas because it is way different than their usual "destinations" and we were lucky enough to become nice feedbacks about our parties, and people asking : when is the next one ??

But Hey !! all this remains very "amateur" and we just try to have gOod times & nice laughs, despite the "stress" that can be provided by building a party (whatever its size is)

Last but not least as soOn as I have one € too many I buy a record with it (Cds mostly)

Cheers !

there is a psytrance scene in argentina since 1996, but the members were not united due to silly fights between them.

i created psytrance.com.ar which is the first and only portal dealing with the scene here, the mission of this was to unify our disperse scene and start building a more stable and strong movement. Psytrance.com.ar also organized the first parties with international djs and artists and now we are starting to do the first moves to start distribution of cds and vynils here (there is no psytance in any of the shops).

so basically im covering all the aspects that the scene needs to grow and be stable, once it starts reproducing itself ill be so fucking happy .

i love psytrance.

Either I got the wrong idea about this thread or I think RaverGirl is not asking what each of us have done. I dont think this thread is for "self" excuse... (dont get me wrong)
However, I love this conscient idea... Great for reflection and improvement. I think it's time for an international revolution to unbond the strong link between Trance and Drugs. Art and Crime. Stream of Consciousness and the so called Utopic Mercantilization of our Dreams...

It's time for worldwide union between smart and serious people that love this music. Dont wait for someone else to do or start. How about starting by writing articles focused on environmental help and trance, celebrating peace, love and light... know knows! Lets do something big or at least believe it can be done and wish for it...

bla bla bla bla... (I dont know what i'm talking about - lost everything - due to my funny dyslexia. )
          cna't find it

Yes, great idea shrOM, let's talk about it on CNN or MTV, or write an article in the New York Times.

Maybe it's not that easy after all, but maybe I am wrong.
