I know it makes us different.. but i mean in sense of culture.

here is a quote of Candy :

--------------------------------------------
"I can't really say I've been to a party that was best, there were many very good ones.
One of the best is the Kippur party. A 2 day party in a forest up north.
More then 500 great people.
You paid only 120 NIs and everything was free inside: water, alcohol, food (open buffet - dinner, breakfast and lunch), niterox, a standapist and apparently also weed.
The music was disapointing, but it was like being in a cocoon for 2 days.
ple said I suffered from culture shock after returning to civilisation. "

--------------------------------------------------

the thing is... this party was 2 days, i have never been at a 2 days party... i have been 10 hours MAX at a party.

and it was so good ( i stayed for 10 hours after all) that when i got back to civilization i wanted more.. it felt so good.

so my point is - if we could, would we have gone back to the woods and partied for ever and ever? or would we feel that it is enough at some point?

it's so fun and great and it makes you forget everything... escape reailty and drift...

can we limit our selfs?

....well i've experienced some mind-altering stuff when the party goes on longer then a day....the feeling of a gathering with equal minds can get you far away from the greyish society today....parties that go on for days or a week (eclipse parties, festivals,...) really need a few days body and mind recovery.....i don't see this as a negative aspect 'cause you really "learn" a lot about yourself and your surroundings on that quest....

When you go to a trance party, you escape reality. People's behaviour changes there. People are more kind and you allow yourself to act the same way, cause you know you're surrounded by people who came there for teh same reason as you did, and many of them have more or less the same way of thinking.
So you're in fantasy land for a couple of hours.
If you happen to be in such an event for 2 days or more, after seeing what you saw, and understanding that the world can be a different place (you saw the proof for yourself), but you know this will never become reality, then you have "culture shock" as I called it.
Partying for ever and ever is an utopic way of thinking. Of course you can do that, but then you're cut off from reality. But some could argue and say: what is reality".

what indeed is reality?
reality is what you make of it...
the mind is stronger than the science..

what you beilieve in and convince your self that is true... is your reality.

take the best example ever - Religion...

do you believe there is ANYTHING in this world that a man would like to do forever?..again and again..?

i don't think so..

it will lose its magic and become meaningless...
