Totally agree with that. The reason for the discription could be the missing of warm melodies. In that meaning DnB is also DARK...
In view of someone i met 2006 the night sound at BOOM06 sounded like...

Bad energy doesn't fit to Psytrance for me
( call it dark, red or what ever ).
If negative energy appears I try to harmonise or exchange it first. Anyway we meet on similar paths.

some cant handle it n some can enjoy it, thts the difference.......

I can say that what make ur vibe, is ur state of spirit at the moment...
I read some comments from guys in the back pages and I agree of someone of them, but I must say that darkmusic will not carry u to the good side, cause the music have many "elements" that will not make u remember good things... Sure u can have much mind to send ur head to where u want... but for the people that is more fragile... well... this kind of people must be care with that.. In some parties (like Goa Gil for example), I have heard cases from people that running out the partie withou any clothes screaming that the evil was follow him!
Say that the dark music bring to u good things is wrong, cause it´s not! And u know why!

If you are coming to an active dancefloor were SUPER PSY-TRANCE '( dark )' is played and you are more into Uplifting Full-On sound, it would not be easy to handle. It depends on the taste or better on your background and what you are searching for.
And what is the wrong side ??
This kind of style dosn't carry me on the wrong side definetly, because there's no wrong side.
I'm talking about Psy-Trance as it should be in my point of view. It shows the most interesting and funny experience to me.
However the 'wrong side' is your definition, not mine.
In trancedance it's not important to me. And I dont spend my time to judge if someone is dancing on the right side or not.

I think there is a whole subject that we must think about the psychedelic experience:
Is there any kind of INITIATION for the new funs?
We are talking about great amounts of energies.
We are talking about spirituality.
We are talking about travels to other dimensions.
We are talking about the spirit world.
We are talking about good and bad.
We are talking about God and satan.
We are talking about the opening of the third eye.
There must be some kind of INITIATION before entering these realms...
Without it is very dangerous for someone to face the psychedelic experience.
It's like someone who never thought or never wondered about almost anything spiritual face the trial of a shaman.
And there are not all the people appropriated to become shamans.
Even in the tribes of Indians they choose especialy the person who will become the shaman of the tribe. And he is only one person that is chosen from hundreds...
We must be very careful about the new members of this scene and we must try to talk to them and (if we can) teach them some things.
For ex. when someone is running like crazy someone must stop him and ask him why he is running. Someone must try to talk to him and help him regain his mind control which in this case it is sure that is lost...
Instead of laughing or watching...
We must care for each other.
You never know when a bad trip will come to you or someone else.

I didnt bother to read the whole topic, but here's my two cents:
I used to think that darkpsy produced bad vibes.
Until I eralized how it looked like in a darkpsy festival, having been invited to play on the chill-out floor (because as a 'boom-boom' DJ, I play morning full-on!). Even if I can't stand the darkpsy music for more than three hours, I noticed in the morning the AMAZING GREAT VIBE the people were holding! Smiles and consciousness all the way, great people, everyone connected, pure magic!!
Quite in the contrary, on your usual groovy full-on morning, you often have people full of speed, looking like zombies and drinking until they collapse.
That is a big paradox! Maybe it's because darkpsy music challenges your mental in a way you have to adapt yourself and find the inner light to balance the 'agression', resulting in true enlightenment!
So... People, even if you don't like darkpsy, you got to respect the great vibe it produces!!
