ok, maybe my first post was 2 short & not informative at all & looks like an insult 2 the dark fans,
but i'm sorry, this is not what i ment.
its just that every time that dj's that played at our parties played dark trance, it totally killed the vibe.
& i know a lot of dark music (not only shitty ones) , & i respect them as artists, & sometimes its even nice, but i dont like it, & also the dancefloor of our parties... 
but again, its only my point of view.

the funny thing is, that the today so called dark-trance is everything but for sure not dark.
dark is what you cant touch, not what its punching you.
dark is what you can feel its there but is invisible to you, and not overloaded lines.
last but not least, dark releases the shadows of you soul while dancing, and sounds not like 30 crazy monkeys srewing synthi noobs on acid.
juts my opinion for sure. but i realy cant take this seriously. there is a lot more to do to make a track dark besides of using disharmonic elements.

Wow another thread about nonsense, as always Dark music is the problem just like the columbine shooting, guns or people is not the problem no, its marilyn Manson.
We also need to redo barbie because she is giving unrealistic standards to young girls. And the problem is offcourse,,, dolls
Why this whining? complaining about the names on labels, names on tracks, names on
compilations,
Have you who brought this up, just for once,, just just once, ever thought about the small but still wonderful thing called "Irony", or just that the whole point of this name was just to upset you fairys?
An example: Do you really think just because our label name is devilsmind, we drink blood and sacrifices goats to satan, well then your absolutley right.

And that you people dare to bring in a discussion about quality in the thread, wow thats really remarkable, Just because its clean doesn´t mean its good, nor just because its distorted doesn´t mean its bad, stop generalizing the world is not black and white anymore its alittle bit more complicated my friends.

look my previous statement it had nothing to do with disrespecting your view on the matter. i'm sorry if it was a bit harsh. the thing is, it's a shallow comment. People don't come in here saying "yeah progresive is boring as hell, it never goes anywhere and it feels just like house" if you're a progressive fan, you are going to have hard time bitting your tongue, thinking "hey, maybe you didn't hear ALL there was about the genre to be throwing statements like that."
point in case:
- psykovsky - north or south (v/a Jokker)
- Psykovsky Vs Deja Vu Projekt - Only Love (We Will Take)(Kill fukin bill)
- Ghreg on earth - quintessence unfurls (debut)
- Para Halu - Creatures of Iggy ( feat. king jr). (debut)
- freaking - depravation chambers (hammering the gates of soul)
- electrypnose - oscillate (crazy goblins and wicked pixes).
-procs - Gelatom Megafon or samsonited (debut) and i could go on and on... please take a look at any of those tracks and tell me they are boring full on with horror samples...
That you got stuck with a DJ's spreading bad vibes is one thing... the point of that statement is you had a couple of bad experiences with and now you are taking it on the whole genre, cause someone did not cater your needs on the dance floor. I completly agree, taste is taste and that's non-debatable.... but generalizations are almost always wrong

talking about generalizations
as the matter affect, i think that progi is also boring like hell
& the dj's were great, but our croud hates dark, its a matter of taste, thats all, its not about generalizations dude.
nice tracks u wrote down there, but still, sounds the same 2 me, but its just me man

i would prefer if some dark artist & morning artist come out with proper word on this.....give the world a complte tech knowledege....(diff)..likin n dilikin its completely indiviuals choice.....u don like dark....don go there...bt i don agree dark tune can create bad vibe.........

i didn't say you are proggresive fan... it was an example to illustrate my point... hmmkay? if you can't tell the difference between all those tracks there is no point discussing this further with you... yeah it's all the same thing... full on... Not getting dragged back into this senseless discussion. People will hate dark trance and that's cool, i'm not loosing any sleep over it.
your message says for you to respect other people's opinions, why is it we should consider Ubar Tmar the real 'dark' ? that's subjective. just me like me thinking para halu is dark... what is dark? there are different types of music out there, you like them or you don't but you apreciate the difference that should be all... instead of having endless pages on what 'dark' should be.

sorry I haven't made the time to follow the topic so I ma just going off the qusetion in the topic. I think dark music can be a valuable part of the party, we all have a dark side and for the music to take us into AND BRING US BACK OUT is a wonderful thing. If the mystro behind the music is in touch with the enrgy of the dance floor it should be all good. IF in the other senario we have somebody venting dark music onto a dance with no regard for the poeple listening then I reckon you'd be best off heading for your car if you don't fancy staring them down for the whole set. with or with out drugs you could be in for a bad trip if you don't do battle but it is kind of enlightening to do battle with a lord of the dark side. |
