It's weird though that a Daft Punk thread shows up for first time ever...just as full marketing campaign for the new album drops. Cant say about it being best of their work but most hyped for sure!

IS REALLY AWFUL :0 i just gave it a listen in i tunes and wooow only pharrel trackS ARE GOOD :000 THEY SING ALL THE TIME WITH THOSE ROBOT VOICES...AND IT'S ANNOYING.

Homework was as awesome as most of the stuff that came after is awful.
And this new get lucky song is probably the most awful of them all. Anyhow, their marketing team should get an award at next years grammy, the way they built the hype all over the internet for this one is a masterpiece from a marketing perspective, too bad the music cant keep up.
Still, homework is one of my all-time favs, funny thing is it is just the opposite of what they have become nowadays, raw, brutal and straight to the point instead of cheesy, slick and funky.

Daft punk is really pretty. I think they're the band that introduced me into electronic music with the movie insterstella 5555 so long ago heh. Want so much to see them alive.

Daft Punk used to be awesome. The new album is cheesy and way too overrated. When my old school friends who are stuck in the 80's music start to love Daft Punk's new album then I know it's crap www.beatagency.dk

what a boring album! only 1 or 2 tracks are listenable from beginning to end. somekind of diluted disco with really cheesy vocoder vocals on almost every track...

probably the best pop album on the planet at this mo. the vocoded voices add to the mystique of the band being robots. the deep production and sound quality has re-invented 70's disco sound. daft punk have sort to work with some interesting artists e.g. panda bear, paul williams. this album is like the beatles sgt peppers..it will be a classic.

fail comparison IMO. Beatles Sgt Pepper and this Daft Punk album are universes apart. Daft Punk will not achieve 0,01% of what Beatles left as classic. Lots of people claim the same, that this is such a wonderful album from dp helmet guys and great proudcers are on board and what not. For me it is just king of marketing and extraordinary boring and monotone album. I think what remains is the story what hype they created trhough their marketing. Sgt Pepper has spirit and soul & is a true immortal for centuries.
