Everybody here knows where to buy CD's online, but you don't think that it's too expensive to import this releases?
I think the our scene will be much more serious if has a brazilian distribution with prices that we can pay!

What do you think about?           Obiit - Industrial Ambient

for sure it's possible for all of us to buy cds on the internet, but the prices are too high and in some cases we have to wait weeks and even a month to get them in hands.
so if we have a brazilian distribution company, it would be much easier and cheaper!
and of course it would increase the quality of sounds played in our parties, as we all know that a lot of Djs play with mp3 recorded cds

Very nice topic!!!

In fact, it is very xpensive cost, for buy cds in online shops...

So, what´s left for is... is MP3!! And its quality sucks, comaparing to origonal cds... but, what can we do?? I rather listen to it, in shitty quality, than not to!!!

It would be very nice, to see a brazilian "selo" for saling cds here... it would be much easier, and cheaper!!!

Big bOOm

it don't have any release from night/dark/underground labels. the releases are not updated, so it miss a LOT of good releases. sincerely, i don't have any interest to buy some release published in this shop.
so it don't fix the problem.

The fact is: most psytrance djs nowadays don't give a fuck about buying originals and so they keep on playing shitty quality music aka mp3. As soon as those who consider themselves TRUE DJS and not just one of those who are just spinning to fool around and to be "cool" with friends and girls (that's sincerely a situation we have witnessed very often in Brazil), the cd pressing companies, labels, distribution companies etc will get to grow fast here.

As soon as everyone who is into the psytrance scene and really feels like being part of it and, also wants to see it get not only a bigger but a BETTER scene, starts to support the labels and the artists buying their work whether in cd or vinil, the scene will grow in quality and everything related to it will also expand to its better way.

The problem with the cd prices here is something related to our currency value compared to other standart currencies such as dollar and euro. Our currency is a whole lot devaluated so when the cds arrive here, converted from dollar or euro to our currency, it becomes more expensive. The prices of the records are not considered that expensive out there such as it is here, observing of course the proportions.

But it would be really good to see re-pressing companies around here such as Vagalume Records, Carambola Records, WFC Brazil, Tradesound etc re-pressing more and re-distributing more and more titles in psytrance, specially the underground non-mainstreamed ones, from other labels with other styles such as dark psy, progressive (proggy), goa etc, and not only morning full on. I really like a good quality morning full on, but other styles are just there and they surely need the deserved attention.

We need this support from the labels and pressing companies, because is really a shame that sometimes we have to pay so much for a single record, be it cd or vinyl, and sometimes even have to wait for one month or two for it to reach our homes (my last 2 orders at a virtual shop, which I won't mention the name here, took more than TWO MONTHS to arrive, but I think that is a problem more related to the brazilian post office and customs).

So, all I gotta do is drop an advice:

2 all the psy trance djs: BUY ORIGINALS! Copy kills the music and bla bla bla.. BUT IT'S THE FUCKIN TRUTH! Support the scene such as the artists and the labels unless you all want to see more and more pseudo-djs playing more and more shitty quality music aka mp3 and destroying the scene.

2 da promoters: think twice before linning up a DJ who does not seem to take psytrance as serious, just as it should be taken, 'cause if so, they might be taking the place of another great person who has spent a lot of time and money upon the psytrance and which takes it seriously, even as a real job.

2 da public: Buy cds also. Why rock n roll fans buy the whole lot stuff from their idols, from cds to t-shirts, but the psytrance fans don't support their artists equally? If you like one's work, buy it! An original cd is awesome not only due to its quality but also for the artwork, also because you can read the credits, check the inlay, hold it with you as a true piece! As soon as buying records become a habit in the psytrance scene (djs, public and everyone), for sure the original records market will follow the improvement!

That's it!

for me tradesound is a shame... too expensive for a shit product... they even make a different cover to put inside the case, u need to put the cd cover on it... i think R$40 is not fair enought to a second quality shit...

and not, mp3 is not the solution as some said...

Good topic. I'm trying desperatly to buy some different releases (because Tradesound is VERY limited).

MP3 is not part of the solution, it's most of the problem. Without mp3 we would have 1/10 of the "DJs wanna be" which means more music quality at parties and less stupid people at parties.

@Morus, i agree with all words you said here, its accurately what i think.

btw, what will resolve our problem ? what we need? we have some distribution like as said here before.... but still expensive price, then not aid much. Really sad

The only brazilian shop that i could buy it's soundshop.com.br but there doesn't aceppt the visa card (only card that i work). So... the only way that i see is buy cd in international online shop (too much expensive for me).

I really suffer therefore.... sad sad....

this wfcorp.com.br site looks good, but I still miss some releases that we only find in international online shops.
I know the underground scene is small in our country, but the people involved on it really care about quality and variety, so that's what we need..
a serious shop working with various labels not only the commercial ones.

Most of the imported cds available on soundshop.com.br are imported by WFC Corp Brazil, so they (WFC) should start to think about raising up their own shop, maybe... it would be a good idea. It's funny to know, but I found out that people who buy in the brazilian virtual shops such as soundshop or doctordisco are divided on a percentual of about 50% djs and 50% public. This is good and bad news. Good because also public is getting used to buy originals, nice for the scene. Bad because all of us know that with that percentual, we probably do not even have barely 20% of the brazilian djs buying on those shops. It's a poor parcel.

Anyway it would be really nice to have a TRULY BIG psychedelic trance/ambient/electro/house/tech-house shop running right here in our country to supply our djs demand, since the brazilian import taxes are phuckin high and maybe if the shop is already inside the country, it would help.

One idea is if maybe the import companies and labels and the already known shops here gathered together to become a unique company, so they would have more conditions and money to create a big shop to work based in Brazil and sell records worldwide.

It's a shame the government overtaxes cds and vinyls. Music is culture and culture should not be overtaxed. It should have the government incitement to be divulged and spread worldwide in an easier way. I hope we all, djs and public, get to have our ways of access to the electronic music records facilitated some day.

All the best!
