Acidhive you just reminded me of one of my favorites poets ,Percy Bysshe Shelley .

How wonderful is death!
Death and his brother Sleep!
One pale as the yonder wan and horned moon,
With lips of lurid blue. The other glowing like the vital morn,
When throned on ocean's wave It breathes over the world: Yet both so passing strange and wonderful.

Nice. I like poetry. In fact, I write poetry myself. My poems are in dutch, but here's one of my poems for you (I translated it to english)

Lost in time

Far away clocks are ticking,
but their pointers aren't moving.
Time takes strange leaps,
yet nothing has changed.

Soon the now will trade
places with then and a spoken word
shall become history.
Everything ages in front of you.

New things promise miracles,
but become old things that,
like all other things,
move on like they ever started.

Somewhere in time, between the now and then,
minuscule changes are slumbering
beneath a sheet of possibilities.

Lost in time.

--------------

That's it. Hope you like it.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

sure! every night!
usually i listen to some dark ambient/neo-classical stuff like Pimentola, Desiderii Marginis, Onirot, etc. or to some trip-hop/experimental like Portishead, Curve, Björk, etc.
anything that calm me down is ok. each day is a day.

Always sleep with the radio on...

Either just people talking, or random old music, or classical music stations

Can't sleep to psytrance - my mind works on overdrive analysing it if it's on....           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

Spacemen 3 usually. Funnily enough my mum used to leave the hoover on next to my cot to send me to sleep when I was a baby. Anyone familiar with Spacemen 3 or Sonic Boom will see why this is funny...           "One nation under a groove".

this is really freaky how many people can't sleep without some noise of their choice in the background (and don't get all worked up on the word "noise". i like most of the albums mentioned here too ). i just love silence. i think all living creatures need silence every now and then. i need several hours daily, sleeping and awake.

Indeed. Even I cannot sleep with music on. Even if its 2BPM. For me, I sleep while reading a book. More peaceful and calm.           Discover.Vote.Share() - http://www.beamto.us
