what is u'r opinion?
should the trance party be promoted by the web what is the effect of it?
i know when i see a party been promoted a month before i think it would be to big and with no vibes. and what do u think about the gani arouim parties???

I think its great..realy..that way i know from which parties to stay away from and those parties take all the attention from the good ones..
seriously now, i think its realy "cheep" to promote a party like this, kind of like throwing 100000 on the dancefloor in a party and walk away without any control about whos getting the info..to tell you the truth i dont even consider those as "parties".sure theres exceptional cases...but still ill prefer to stay away...
Now lets see who will be the first one to shout "but theres no phone numbers" lol.

its all depend the aim of the orginaizers .
if the orgenizers of ROGER WATTERS promote the productin in aggresive way its not mean that would not vibe there
do you know a good party soon let me know by p.m
so thats the good way

there a big diff between roger proformance to a trance party, in my opinion the most importent element in trance party is the crowd they set the vibe, and if the ppl are good even a party with lousy sound system, unknown djs can be the best party of ur life.
and when i see orgenizers who promot their paty so badly throw the web i know they in it
for the money there are much better ways to promot parties , i think the best way is meeting ppl sit down with them and give them flyres or take their e-mails.cause just handing flyers to every person in the bar is the same as the net and it very good chance that less than 1 precent of the ppl u gave flyers to will come.
all in all i think there are better ways to reach for ur crowd

for someone who's asking such a question, it seems that you are planning on putting up a party? Because that's a question the organizer would ask himself I presume 
And will also decide by himself what's going to be the answer.
And with all the money loss risks, I don't think he wants to end up with an empty party. Therefor if he's got a way to bring a crowd other than using the internet - he will take that into an account.

Mr Vertigo is right, every party I've ever been to that was promoted on the Internet , was full of ppl that really don't fit the nature party atmosphere. But
I don't know any party organizers, so that's almost the only way I can get info about the parties. So sometimes it can be good, just maybe it should be promoted on secure sites, that only ppl who know the password can see.

nothing to add here, my opinion about this has been said here, it just bad promotion for bad parties most of the time, and it means u have no controll of the people who can get the information about the party, it makes promoters, to register in fake names to promote their parties, and the amount of respones is the most unreliable info and untrusty one to choose a party acording too, im case i dont know the promotores personally and i know their productions, i dont even bother to see what the topic is about, cuz " it's just another over promoted party for me.
that's my opinion about it.

i think that when u send pms to people, there are more than a few ways to know who they are (or atleast to get a general impression of them), so it's way better to do that than promoting parties in the promtion section.

by puttin ur party in the net it is like sayin evry1 welcome to my house for free ! but that way u dont know who u r calling. maybe u will find few actual trancers and others who just want to come to check it out. keep it low. word of mouth. this way the right people will know and ur party will be a success. pm's r a good way of giving location. pm those who's profile u will check out and know if they r full into the scne and not only in the mood for spoiling it for others. it is hard werk but if u r wanting to organize a party then take the trouble in doing it right. all the best to orgs!!!

All i could throw into this discussion is that in my opinion we all look at the underground trance scene as one big family, and i'm talking in prospective higher thatn the different labels and genres.
What i am trying to say is that when i try to make sense of what will be of a party i consider mainly only: A. Who are the good people who are lining this up (Production) and B. who are the good people that are stepping up to blow my fucking brains out (the Line-Up). that's usually enough for me to decide.
As far as the promotion methods i leave that to the production guys and either trust them to get the party going great, or not. If i believe these are good men who know how to organise their parties, i'll be there and won't judge the way they try to make thing happen. if i don't trust them i won't be go to the party, but i won't be critisizing their way of getting their things done.
Whether i'm coming to the party or not, i always hope it'll be good and everyone will have a blast. After all, this is what we're all about.
I hope i made my point clear to all and didn'r confuse any good people

I'm not aginst it as well as i am not for it! I think u should decide whether u trust the production to have a great party with great people or not. that's it. u don't have the right to get into their business.
i'll give a an example so that it will be easily understood: Let's say that Teva-Chemichal are throwing a party. I love and trust everyone of the people there and i'd love to go to their party. seeing them publish it on the internet would not make me doubt that the party will be great. I trust them to make their own cinsiderations and i will keep trusting them as long as they continue to throw KillaPartiez...
