What would you prefer seeing more in indoor parties ??
Artists Live PA's or Full Power Dj sets ?

with a very few exceptions it has to be dj sets.. at least 3 hours long..

Definitely DJ sets amigoo!! 
There's always more poweer in the Dj sets than the Live Acts

Live exceptions are definnatelly good but i also prefer dj set for obvious reasons

Live set are definitely more entertaining. Theres nothing like wathcing the artists go crazzy using and instrument. DJ set could be effective depending on the choice of tracks and ability of mixing.

Indeed live acts are nice but with the DJ sets u get a more hardcore environment and usually the djs blast u more when they r perfoming a dj set

Well..
ManMadeMan and Broken Toy , were Live s at the Coronet for New Years, and nobody can say they lacked power. !!!!
But a Dj Set gives more versatility and extends the boundaries for a dj.

I do prefer mostly dj sets but it is nice to have a live act but sometimes in my opinion there can be to many live sets and some artists music can be to similar. But not in every case!

Agree completely, they were incredible performances.
I personally prefer live acts, just because its (IMO) amazing to see the creators of the music performing it as they want to.
Its like seeing a play directed by the writer.
Or a poem read aloud by the poet...
Its the closest you get to the track being perfectly played...
That doesn't mean though that i don't love the DJ's 
Its all about the music, the atmosphere, the "atmosphere enhancers" , and dancing in the end though isn't it - but it is the DJ's/Live acts job to guide you through the musical story...

Psy-trance its most for Live act. Dj-set its only for other kind of music. techno and many more. I believe that artists has nothing to do with djset. Djokey its only from the begining.

hard to compare because obviously it depends on the artists and dj's talent. i personally prefer live sets because live sets usually have some kind of storyline to the set, the artists are sharing piece of their mind with the crowd.
but then again, if it's someone like dimitri on the decks, im back to the question again.

Sometimes I like to see the artist playing a DJ set because they can burn all their fresh new tracks to cd and play them out without having to arrange a newer live performance. Don't get me wrong though, live sets are sick ....Eat Static at Glade!!! |
