i want to thank dj gula for the wonderfull set she gave at a small party two weeks ago.
she was so gracefull and funny!
it's the first time a dj made me laugh with joy (and no,i was'nt 'daluk' you dirty devils ;) )
and i hope more dj's will follow.
interact with you'r audiance you guys, trance is more than just blasting off full on tunes and ear ripping mega-sounds.

here's some stuff about gula k
1. she is the nicest person u'll meet in parties
(& off parties)
2. gula k. IS NOT ONLY A CHILLOUT DJ , like many ppls think, she knows how to step on it ,big time!.
3. i've never seen a dj that comunicate with the crowd like she does.
very proffesional ,she's here for quite some time.

sorry to disappoint everyone but i was in gula k party 2 weeks ago (near yavniel) and i must say i didnt like her set at all. her mixing were bad and it sound like she using md (she used cdj). there was no "stream" in her set and each track was like broke the one that came before. i must say that the music she play is not my favorite but it isn't the music but the way it played.
although i didnt enjoy, the ppl really like the set and the dancefloor was full all set long (so maybe it's me full of shit:)).
one last thing, avi nini who played before gula was very good and his set got everthing that good set must have: great music, great mixing and communicate with the ppl. |

I'm not sure in which party you've been two weeks ago,
or what the hell was that thing that you've put in your mouth before that, But i've heard those sets of her before and the women just don't give a bad set! and thats a fact.
look around you, watch the people dancing,
don't put your movies in here!!!
by the way the sound system was Ronton's
and i don't need to add that!
beside that, there was only one DCJ and one CD.
no MD's were seen around the area.

my post was about the same party.
i must agree.. she did seem a bit confused
and my thoughts were she's probebly not at her peek.
the things that did it for me were the time she stopped the music completly 'out of the blue' , "winked" to everybody leaning forward surprisingly,then blasting back again
and bob dylen in the middle (!)
this is the kinde of stuff that made her so sweet for me. hope to catch her sometime on a better day..

I never got to hear her play, but I've met her yesterday and she is one cool person, totaly free of pose and an interesting woman (and she looks FINE man!).
RESPECT GULA! be well and happy, I would love to hear you play (Saha for the Numark CDs!)

dear DBB, it seem like u took my review little personaly so first for all i apologize to everyone who feel insulte. now, some facts:
1. i dont know her personaly and maybe she's the nicest person in the world (and yes she's good looking) but it's not make her a better dj.
2. it was the first time i heard gula play and maybe, as skypusher wrote, she wasn't at her peek that time, but i still think that THIS SPECIFIC SET (2 weeks ago) was lousy. i dont think that a dj should be "judge" by one set, so i'll be happy to hear gula again and maybe change my mind about her.
3. i know that she haven't used md, that the all problem. if you play with cdj and it sound like you using md it's realy wrong.
4. your comment about what i ate or not, seems like taken from 50+ lexicon that put all the blame in druges.
