does anyone know if there will be any psytrance parties to celebrate diwali this year (or if thats ever been a theme for a psy party)? over the past year i've become more and more interested in hinduism, and i'm going to service at a temple this year, but it seems like it could also make for a killer psy party!

What would make a really killer psy party would be the festival of Holi! Do you know about that?

Happens somtime around March, where everyone puts color on everyone else! And the best part - traditionally you HAVE to drink Bhaang, which is a drink made with milk and Marijuana!

Peace:.

Haha holi parties are the best!

lots of psychedelic colours everywhere!

I dont think people here would be open to the kinds of things that happen on Holi/Diwali in India. Cause there really are NOOO rules ;->

However it would be fun to try!           ToO mUcH pReSsUrE oN tHe BrAiN

I'm not too familiar with the festival of Holi. Sounds like a great holiday, tho....Note to promoters: Hindu psy parties would be sweet.

yeah and drinking "bhang" ( a powdered variant of hashish) is a mandatory custom in holi...lol..
Trance is an altered state of consciousness. To simulate a trance, one mentalist said that you should slump in your chair and act as though you have drunk a bottle of gin.

In my humble opinion and to the best of my knowledge,Psychedelic trance parties have never been, and should never be affiliated with any kind of religions(with all due respect to all people in the forum who practice one). I strongly believe that the main intent behind psychedelic trance parties(and REAL psychedelic trance music) is to open one's mind and brake him free of the programming and conditioning that we all go through in our daily lives with all of these forms of control.Brake one free from the Matrix if u will.
Who ever does their research(if they dig deep enough) finds out that all religions originated from the same source. They will also find out and that these forms of control are just here to suppress humanity and to aid in keeping the biggest secret about man kinds origin and purpose and who we really are!!!!

Second thing i would like to mention is that meanwhile for the followers of hinduism "diwali" is referred to as the "Festival Of Lights",u got the Jews that refer to "Chanuka" as the "Festival Of Lights" and the Christians sometimes refer to "Christmas" as "festival Of Lights",So draw your own conclusions.

Thirdly,Since when do we need some "holiday" or a special date to DANCE TO TRANCE?

RaknahS MooB!
It is my FIRM BELIEF that it is a mistake to hold FIRM BELIEFS.

"GOD SAVE US FROM RELIGION".

This coming from a guy who writes BooM ShanKar backwards in his signature....where do you think that comes from - a religion called Hinduism !!

everyone is free to practice what they like and part of breaking free is accepting world cultures....and that is the essence that PsyTrance brings out stronger in us...

BoMMM Bholenath!!
