Thanks for all the feedback, I really appreciate it. I'm especially glad that so many seemed to like flow and the transition from deep progressive to full on in under 1½ hour, as I always find it important to make some kind of development and progression in my sets, and not just play the same kind of music for several hours.

Also don't forget to support the labels and artists behind the tracks featured in the set

Hi Jannick,

I have given the mix a few more listens, and still feel that overall it is very very well mixed harmonically and structurally, and the programming is totally awesome.

I did also notice that your bass line / kick transitions are all quite sudden... it does not appear that you blend any of your low end as you do your mids and highs, and tend to use the same mixing technique every time.

Of course my thoughts are totally subjective, and I do not at all profess to be an expert in any way. I do come from a progressive house background, so blending long mixes is in my blood. ;-)

I look forward to checking out your other mixes.

You are right about the abrubt bass-transitions Nokturnal - it is mainly because of the dancefloor oriented nature of this set. As you already know, I have recorded a very laidback progressive house/trance set called "Comfort Module" where the mixes are much more smooth and subtle.

But thanks for the constructive feedback, it's always appreciated           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Yeah I eat my words about your ability to blend basslines, Comfort Module is killer, very very well done and one of the best mixes I have heard online in quite awhile.

In fact I would love to get a wav quality cd copy of it, if youever mail out cds that is...

Finally commenting on your set Yannick.

I like that your taste is very broad (and good) and that you also try to make a varied journey out of it. It can actually be very difficult to record a set at home, mostly it will take a party crowd that really goes for it and in that way encourage to create those moments where one can perform a set that really stands out as truly amazing in both mixing and track selection. I find it very realistic that you are capable of playing such sets after hearing some of your mixes and knowing what dedication you put into these things.

Those kind of sets are one of the main reasons for keep on playing, as i see it important in everyones life to have those moments on the dancefloor where you just go with the music and let it take you.

So good luck in the time to come Yannick! And i will look forward to hearing you play somewhere.
