have been struggling for quite some time about the difference between Good and Evil(for a while I was under the impression there was none). Then for a while I thought that it it boiled down to selfless and selfish intentions.(Thinking...but what if a selfish man does a selfish act to 40 different people, and each person learn a valuable life altering lesson from his evil deed...is this man truly doing wrong? But lately, I have been starting to notice a new presence within this world. A prescence that is empty and without feeling. Something that is completly different from the evil the world thinks they understand(kinda of like the bad and good ( that I thought were so very different) are the same force... And the presence of true evil (this is just a concept)is a void of anything feeding on everything, and "determined" to erase everthing, or like a whole new force is out there. This may be crazy but I feel like this force is what our so called good and evil are fighting against. Like a large scale war is happening... (hold on)Thinking...kinda like a guitar, the strings represents our "so called" opposing but not opposing forces, and this force I feel is trying to cut the strings... anyways now I'm starting to think that were having a battle and everything is fighting to remain as the everthing, but this is just a concept and I have a difficult time finding the right words to symbolize what I feel is true. So please feel free give me some of your ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you...

Does evil exist? Did God create evil?

The University professor challenged his students with this question.

"Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.

"Yes sir", the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then God is evil" .

The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the religious faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?"

"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460? F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of Good. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of Good. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have good present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.

O.K... so we know that everthing we percieve (such as good and evil)are counter balanced to create a whole and there really isnt a difference between these "two". And how the difference is created by our consciousness. I have come to terms with that a while ago...I can also understand that the equal but opposite forces create the life in which we are all a part of...that one vibration in which all life branches from... as if that one vibration is in everything much like a source of life. then where is the soure of death to counter balance it. its easy for you to see everthing as a part of life even after physical death, and its easy to understand that the atoms are nothing more than a common vibration in which we recognize life (exempt of the boundaries and labels our conciousness creates)so why is it so hard to see the death that counter balances the life (Im not just talking about our physical life).im talking the destroying force, the eraser or the void without a vibration, death...

good and evil are two sides of a human construct, a concept of the human mind and nothing else. Where are there moral struggles in nature? The only morals are survival. Which means, that good=survival. And bad would be the absence of survival, death.

Is death bad? If so, why? We cannot truly be alive if we dont someday die. Fearing it will not change this. Death is everywhere. There are creatures whose entire existence is based around death and the consumption of carrion. This is good, if good=survival.

In many cases, in order for one animal to survive, another must die. A pride of lions must kill to eat, so they can survive and create more lions, who eventually must also kill. Therefore, Killing=Survival=good. Eating the innards raw while the animal is still alive is good.

But, apply the same logic to humans. We do not need to kill to survive, at least as far as is apparent. When the population doubles, maybe a different story. So, to a human, survival=food, in the modern age, food=money. Money=work. And what legitimate employers out there are not slave-drivers? Anyone with a position of power over another, no matter how benevolent, is automatically an opressive situation. So, money=work=oppression. So, by the logic of the 21st century, Oppression=Good. Freedom is an obstacle in the way of making money, too much and the workers wont make you any money. They'll be making it themselves. So from this same capitalistic (but quite common) viewpoint, freedom=bad.

Here Ive illustrated how Oppression is good, and freedom is bad, from the point of view of many of our daily work-lives. This is the reality we occupy! Survival means money to business, and lack thereof is death.

Ok. Now you see how interchangable the concept of Good and Evil truly are. Its all a matter of where you stand when you look. In the middle of the night, the darkness seems bright until you turn on the light. And vice versa. Those blinded by the light do not see the darkness everywhere.

Dark matter, while still theoretical as no one has ever actually seen it, is said to occupy the majority of the universe. The light is the residue floating on top, the stuff doomed to coherence....           .
