here in portugal there are like 3, 4 parties every weekend. i used to go to a party every weekend but now i only go to the big parties with good names, i just can't stand the small parties anymore, because all you listen to is full on all night and day and i'm really hating full on these days.
but i still like the big parties especially because of all the friends i see there. these days i prefer to go to clubs in my town or electro parties, but when a good big open air trance party comes along i'm happy to go either           When I dance, I put myself in the DJ's hands to take me to a journey - the unconscious journey to reality

I feel the same way, why go unless you really WANT to... I love partying, I go as much as I can... But if there's no one I want to see (which is a broad list), why make the effort...

oh i agree with all of you freakz..
i´m not old i´m just 21 and i haven't been in a real nice party since 2005. everything is the same crap.. and what makes me feel happy about trance sometimes is free hide private open air parties with old friends in places that we used to have a great time.. and now i´m living in london.. and will be very difficult to enjoy a trance party here.. i dont like clubs at all, its hot, small, crowded and you cant have a chill time anytime.. and i always read about brazilian trance scene and nothing seems to chance there.. that is a shame.. but i really like trance music and it will never ''die" for me like parties because i still have my own studio that i made my tracks and mixs at home just for fun... me and my psychedelic bong... trance for me nowdays its basically this.. and i´m glad that this is not happening just with me.. some ppl says that i´m in a bad humor or i´m just been closed mind when i talk about this.. trance scene became a shame in many parts of the world but i knw that still have some amazing crews, places, parties and ppl just waiting to be discovered to make the scene that all we loved and dreamed about it back again in our lifes..

cheers!           Free your mind...

just as kazuku stated earlier, too much of anything will usually get you burnt out.

I'm 32 and I have been going to parties and festivals for a long time now, and I still love them as much as i did in the 90's. I did use to attend parties almost every weekend for a number of years consecutively. Now I live in an area where there are'nt any psy parties or festivals and I will travel every 3 months or so, to go to an event, and I still feel the magic that i did before. I just recently went to Oregon to go to a festival, and I was blessed to be able to experience one of the best weekends of my life. Absolute magic!! It really didn't have to do with the music that was played, all though it was pretty good. It was about the amazing friendships that were forged with my old friends and with the new friends that i met on my trip. We went in to with incredible energy, and we left Oregon with beautiful memories. Maybe i have been fortunate to have incredible friends to come along with me, maybe i have been fortunate to have been to parties full of great vibes or maybe it just has to do with my outlook on things. For me, It's about being able to see new places, new faces and enjoying the company of my friends. I usually try to bring out the best in me, full of energy and ready to shake my ass for a few days and that normally will be the right dosage to take care of my fix until the next festival. It's great to be able to Release all that pent up stress from work and day to day hassles.

I suppose like just about everything, moderation is the key. Extremes in my experience's in anything usually doesn't get the desired effects we look for.

I suppose it also depends on what it is that you want out of life and if trance parties and festivals are still in those plans. If you still have a desire to attend parties and festivals, then the best thing i could suggest, is try to only attend the parties that you think that you may enjoy more (considering lineup, location, if friends can attend), don't attend a party just to attend it, make plans with all your friends that you think might want to come, bring the best mindset possible, and make sure to bring the ENERGY!!!

After more than 15 years partying,I still go go sometimes, usually a good artist name may attract me,or even some friends who are gonna invite me.
Tell u the truth if a long time pass away without enjoyed a party,I feel that something is missing from my life, and so I ll go to join again...
Actually I feel that I never stop going to parties, even once a year my mind needs psy,and high kw system to dig in,and trance dance.
Although I dont listen psy in my house, only in parties.

I don't really go to parties anymore. I'll try and travel to a couple of festivals a year if I can afford it. When people travel to a 3 or 4 or even more day event they tend not to fuck about as they've spent so much time and money to be there, and therefore everyone there wants to have as much fun as possible. And you get a much more interesting mix of people.

You need to get out and about once in a while to remind yourself what it's all about!

Been going to parties on and off for last 5 years. Earlier I was in India where there were not enough parties so whatever was there, I used to go. Maybe once or twice in 2-3 months. They were fun.

Now I am in US, from April - September/October, we go to 1-2 outdoors everymonth and then take a break for 6 months as its freezing and there are very few indoors up here.

So I still enjoy going to whichever one I can go.           Discover.Vote.Share() - http://www.beamto.us
