hey..just came to Detroit a week ago...
still settin myself up...
and i wanted to know what the Psyscene here was like...anythn happenin on a regular basis like in the Big Apple???.
detroit's known for electronica so i guess somethns up!!!
if so ..can somebody fill me in...and maybe directions wud help too..
any tid bit wud be immensely appreciated

Hey guess what, there is nothing happening in DETROIT! Welcome to this craphole of a city! SPUN's offices are in Hartland, Michigan which is way out in the middle of no where, and they never ever hold events in Detroit. I only sound so cynical because I've been spending my whole summer driving around the eastern seaboard attending parties. The closest parties are in Toronto (great scene there) and Cleveland (GoaHead are great people), and I go to those locations constantly for that purpose. If you want to talk more about anything going on in Detroit, the midwest, travel, etc, feel free to pm me. |

as far as i know, they have a psy dj there...his name is DJ Panda. He was playing at BLA stage at OM. |

Yeah man, hit us up for a weekend in
Cleveland next weekend. We've got
The Third Eye Friday and a free hippy
cafe party planned for saturday. Byob
at both events. Here's the info.
For our friends that have been trying to hit up our

for a week. We are working on getting that fixed. In the

S.O.T(Igor) was transplanted from across the ocean nine years ago with
hopes to learn about this side of the world. At the end of his mission,
the Mothership came to take him back, however alien frequencies of
psychedelic trance lured him in and changed these plans. Based in Chicago,
he began playing/producing with one goal in mind "...to see more people go
ape-shit on a dance floor!.. loose themselves and get reborn.." Igor is

Hey Luke, I know of a venue. It's called the Roseville Theatre just north of Detroit in Roseville. The main room is about the same size as the main room at the Eagle's Nest. That's where I spun in June. |

Well it all starts with a venue. See if
you can find a small space, preferably
a loft space where we can byob and be
freaks. I'll get Alberto to hook up some
sound, throw a couple dj's in there,
maybe a live act or two and we will have
a nice serotonin sunrize service.
The Roseville spot would be cool, but we
need a small loft space. That's a must
in any psy-scene! Much more freedom! |
