I was at Movement Festival last year. The vibe is completely non-psy. I think it would be a bad idea to try to do anything psy out there. It was a cool event but the aggressive urban energy doesn't seem like a good match for psy. But it would be a great place to flyer!! You could drop thousands of flyers at Movement, a perfect audience because I am sure there are alot of closet trancers out there.

dude dat'd be kinda neat. Psytrance sandwiched in-between ghettotech and minimal techno and surrounded by a million people in four days.
It'd be like Shpongle and Derrick May "stuck on an elevator with only a synthesizer to accompany them"!

Yep, I played in Detroit at a rave last June and the party kids loved it. Heck, I'm a party kid myself. Always have been and always will be. I'm not a hippie like just about everyone else on here.

I am with you on that one Meghan! Although, I do kinda consider myself a rainbow (as in family not gay ) raver ;P
I have tried to ask a couple psy djs that I would like to come out to Iowa if they would mind playing at a multi-genre edm event but they never respond for some reason.
DJ Storm & Kaiser Soze have played at many many of our "raves" though and people ALWAYS go apeshit for them. We even had Kaiser Soze do an encore set at our last rave party
I definately love me some ravers though, especially kandy ravers they are the best.
I think that will be one of the strengths of the blossoming midwest scene though - lots of diversity in attendees to all psy events. The mixing of raver types and hippy types, young and old.

SPUN is not doing it..
Its not worth it from their angle. Sandwiched between techno and House. nope! not happening.
Wish it could be different.
