What happened to the quality within the parties, where's still inspiring deco to be found, supperb line-up, something more but just the well-known names, people gathering to offer whatever they can, a life-style named : psychedelic.... all devoted to life itself.. Brasil seems to be the place, but where else is the truth within the music to be found???????????????? I feel lost in between millions of wanna-be's, people that believe 'psycho' means coloured braceletts.. WHERE IS MY FAMILY!!!!! |

Akbal - there are two theories.
One that with the music nowadays, you'll never get the vibe that was there a few years ago (and much less the vibe you got when goa music was the center of the party).
The other is that it's exactly the same thing, only now you already know all the DJ tricks and twists that artists use in the music (and nowadays, both DJs and artists recycle these a lot), that you just aren't as impressed as you used to be.
You want authentic people? Stay out of parties and go to the real world.

Y'know. The best parties I visited during the last couple of years were the smaller ones.
One was so minimalistic with appx. 100 people gathering at a small lake, some self improved deco hanging between the trees, some sofas making the wood loungy, a simple sound system, wild camping and a lot of fun. And most important of all: the people cared for their litter by themselves (something I miss on the large events!!!) and the prices for chai & water were low budget.
The other one was a joint venture of 3 soundsystems happening every year also at a lake with a couple of hundret people. There's mixed styles techno, progressive from dusk til dawn, punk bands playing at noon followed by dub and ragga.
Very interesting having those mixed styles during the daytimes.
Those events proved it doesn't take big DJ names, heavy deco effects and a market place to have fun.

ahhhhhhh my friend i feel ya' but i had a good wake up call saying...."your old" and u see things in a diff' light....it happens in every culture/sub culture....
u experiance amazing things which u would want to last forever and then a new generation comes and changes a bit and another one fallowes and does the same....the distance from your original "dream island" gets bigger and u start missing the good old days......]
live today! enjoy what is here and dont look for what is missing....create the things u miss....
easier said than done I KNOW but that is the simple truth(one which i try and many times fale to fallow).

small parties !!!
that all i can say to you, go to small parties you can fell the vibe is small parties i dont know if its as strong as it used to be , But at list you feel something in small parties.

jaja.... evolving? advancing? accept change? the new thing.... right.... I think this is what is one of the biggest problems in the world today... people accepting the way it is, not wanting to fight for free life... LIFE I think has been giving enough signs it longs for wariors and the truth being revealed.. anywayzzz... don't want to get too deep into this one, the topic was ment to find some people who as well have this strong desire to find others to work with and produce quality all together, no matter where they are or live at.. cause at the end I supose these people will find each other, somehow.. somewhere... people that accept change (and be honoust: in many parts of the world this change hasn't realy been for the good) , cool! accept it! sorry to have lost another soul in dreamland..... |

Stop complaining and do something about it... make some deco, some music, throw a party, a festival, put your time and money on the line and see what you can do! or at least, consider this possibility

i totally agree with you. big events might be anazing from time to time, especially if you are looking 4 hot girls, but to have a psychedelic mystical experience, nothing´s better than haviong a real underground party at a nice open air place. those arer usually not registered (illegal), have small sound systems and everything is weird and chaotic. those arer definitely the best. |

Damnn why is that the psychedelic scene has to be so complicated!!?? i know what are u talking about akbal, cause i 've seen these changes on the past years im talking about the mexico scene casue i dont really know the others scenes, but here everything its going on a plastic way! everybody the same cloths,everybody the same fucking braceletts,partys had become not psychedelic anymore, they are more like a big fashion show and egooo bullshit going around , people smile to u and the next minute they are talking shit on your backs,everythings now is just PLASTIC ,how ever there are still good people out there who misses the good days,i know that change its unvoidable ,,, i feel like akbal ,i dont want to change to get me, i lovee this music and i think that i can make a change starting with me...so i will keep the vibe alivee and dance dance dance and everytime showing this kids what i have behind.....try to go to small partys belive me i have gonne to a few and my good what a vibe!!! ....Maybe we have to take this to a more underground level....Fuck Plastic shit... |
