 less than a month and possibly my last east coast fest, so i hope to see a ton and more of you so we can all dance dance and dance some more together.

Dear Everybody, we would love to share the following updates with you, in no specific order:
* Entheogenic will not be able to enter the US this time around. Visa issues, folks; Write to your senator..
* Peaking Goddess Collective will be joining Desiderata
* We are stoked to let you know that Desiderata will host a film festival within it's village.
Submissions are most welcome. For more information please look here: http://desideratafestival.com/index.php?_c=projects&category=films_visual_arts
* Ticket price is to become $125 on Wednesday July 15th. A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be available online at this point. Tickets will be available at the gate.
* Desiderata is proud to have had a tremendous number of arts, workshops, activities, vendors, presentations, interactive installations
and many amazingly zealous people join this endeavor. Expect a lot of these projects on our website very soon.
* There will be organized bus trips to Desiderata from NYC. All information will be available on the website within a few days.
* We are working to set up a curious, interesting, warm and sweet area for kids. More updates will be available on our website in no time.
* Gosha (OmniTribe) will be joining Desiderata
* Comprehensive lineup and scheduling information, maps and tips will be finalized and posted next week. Don't forget to browse your way to our website.

I don't think that these types of comments are necessary to promote a festival.
Can't you promote on how awesome your party is going to be?
Why should you have to promote on how "poor" you think the previous party was.
I am disappointed in this approach from a Philly guy. Were you at Orb?

The peaking Goddess Collective will be a DJ set, so sadly we will not have the pleasure of these sets. We are very excited to have their sounds be a part of this festival though!
I just wanted to thank the entire community for really giving us a hand and joining this venture that is really turning out to be a community effort. We truly take notes and try to make this event as user friendly as we possibly can

I was merely trying to have the organizers note the problems that were had during the orb festival in order to avoid them, seeing as how it's the same venue. That thread is a good reference point for the organizers. But in the interest of being positive, which you've valiantly persued in the orb threads, I'll take down my post, as I'm sure the necessary parties have taken note. Are you going to join us Alex? Another go @ Echo Lake?

I think what Billy meant is that hopefully we can reconcile the things that are controllable:
1. secure PortaJohn service/cleaning on say...Saturday morning if not daily.
2. Warn people about not being able to swim ahead of time (if that this is still the case)
3. Have someone pick up a bagillion trash bags at costco for a 4.99 so that if someone wants to pick up trash so badly they can (I will volunteer to do this if the orgz want me to)
As the Desiderata folks continuously say, this is Our Festival and we need to bring to it what we want out of it. That goes for vibes, ideas, art, and mutual respect for the basic needs of all
