sweeeeet. It's going to be one hell of a show! So much different music, and of course, plenty of psy. Summer is a tough time for Rinse, Repeat. as our bassist owns a pool company, but we'll be practicing our arses off for this one! We're EXTREMELY excited for Desiderata!!

Who cares man !! If it's good music it's good music and thats what matters.. it's this elitist non conformist attitude I never understood here in america 
Pearl jam, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the doors.. All some of my favorite bands... all super commercial. I love them all the same
Not that long left.. I will definitly try to make it to this festival !! For sure will be a killer time!

Desiderata is not going to be a regular psytrance festival.
This is a collaboration of many different scenes and sensibilities. We are going to be there, letting our guard down. We are going to admitting who we really are. We are One. We are all gods playing a joke, a little game with ourselves, To see what it is like to be tiny bald monkeys on a green and blue planet for just a flickering moment.
We are going to beat our drums, dance with each other, painting our paintings and singing till we are out, out, out of our heads and minds and into transcendence, into each other and into the future.
This is the evolution of the trance dance ritual. It isn't just about redefining the ancient meditation for yesterday. It is about harvesting culture, hybridizing mutating what we once were into a what we are.
Just wait to see what I am cooking up especially for you.

the main attraction for me is the synthesis workshop given by Onkel Dunkel. can any other artists also be included as instructors? should attendees bring laptops and how long will the session be? |

As to the workshop i was thinking participants bring whichever contraption they feel comfortable using be it laptop or synths or something third. My idea is to have a good old campfire sing along going (sans the singing and guitars) Basically what i had mind was that we get together and have a jam session, maybe working on a track. Everybody contributing on whatever level they can and feel comfortable with and all of us hopefully learning some neat tricks along the way. I see my role in this as being a contributor not an instructor as there are many truths out there and i invite all of you interested to come and contribute to the experiment. Ofcourse i will answer any questions anybody might have about specifics and if i cant answer then maybe someone else at the workshop can offer an explanation. As i understand it it would be wise to bring your own extender cords and powerstrips (without power we´re back to campfire guitar :S ) i will bring my live kit and there should be some speakers of some sort for us to (mis)use. I will try and get the org to hook us up with a mixer of sorts so we can hook up multiple soundsources. Well i guess that would be the info i have for now.
