Dj Nukem - the one and the only in this category.
Chab - his studio partner, even better if u ask me.
Dj Gogo - more dry sound, still hypnotic and massive.
Nugen - de girl.
Minilouge - the only trance head that know how to make house properly.
Greed - Mr. SOG records, rising producer and label.
Thomas Penton - more techy, still fit the category u choosed.
Dusk Riders - interesting fusion between breaks and dark progressive.
Vision and Canedy - wow, u should check it. deep, deeper, deepest. first EP on Plusquam
and now on Avalanche.
Ohrsten Nors - realy interesting Music here, check his Buddas Guitars on Lush comp on Nano Beat Rec.
Slugger - half of Necton with super funky tech-house.
Mehl - side project of XV Killist, sure what u look for. btw his Lounge Control side project also can be interesting for u.
P-Woland - old player, less favorite but more trancey.
Mo Shic - Israely producer in this genre.

slow, hypnotic dark progressive house with nice tribal grooves and sexy percussion. im waiting for some stuff like that from u btw according to your trance trax u have de drive

well eli your list is awesome but you forgot some artists wich fit better to the discription tim put up ...

Martin Accorsi - hard and techy but always a deep housy groove , never cheesy melodies or horny vocals ... try to check Accorsi & Bassetti - Concord 12" on Sondos Rec. USA

Andro - this guy is really impressing me with his Massive Hard Kicks and monotonues rythms , very deep tribalistic without cheesness or unescessary nonsens : check his new 12" Space on Nascent Recordings
also really recomended " Andro - Magma/Can´t Deny 12 " on Mechanism records earlier this year ...

Piliavin & Zimbardo - from these guys you can accept little more atmospheric sound , hypnotic and serious , but so nice arranged and dancable ...

anyway there are a lot more out there and im sure you will find something wich fits your thoughts ...

cheers

Very good call....these guys are some of my favorite tribal/proghouse producers right now. Check out their "Dub Boy/Deep Trouble" release as well as their remixes to The Flash Brothers' "Restless" on their own label Distraekt. Also, their "Voodoo Juice" release on Sondos and "Roots/Alcanzar" release (momentarily forgot the label) are also nice dark tribal sounds like you seem to be asking.

Zombi's list was quite comprehensive, but I might also add a few more....

Marcello Castelli - his recent track called "South America" on Musiq fits the bill perfectly.

Most material by Lexicon Avenue is a bit more on the straight-up house side, but they have put out some dark tribal gems every so often. If you can find it, you might want to track down their remix to "Tonto's Drum" that was out on Plastic Fantastic a year or two ago. There was also a dark mix of their classic track "Why R U here" that floored me whenever I heard it.

I will echo the tip on Thomas Penton. Especially check out his remix and collaborative works (less melodic and darker than his solo tracks). My favorites from him are the remix he did of "La Caldera" by Prototype, as well as "Control Factor" by Penton & Duran (including all the remixes).

What I have heard from the Low End Specialists might fit the bill as well, but I am less familiar with them. Check their site (www.lowendspecialists.com)....they might have some samples. Ditto for Deep Amok....what I have heard fits, but that amounts to just a couple tracks. Sort of reminiscent of Moshic.

I remember a couple tracks from a mixed comp last year that were also incredibly dark industrial-sounding tribal. If I remember correctly, the tracks were "The Bell" by Bluephaze and "The one that Got Away" by Filterheadz (the CD is called "Essential mix" from Sander Kleinenberg if you want to check yourself). I cannot vouch for other tracks from these artists, though as that was all I have heard. Those tracks made a definite impression, though.

There is probably more, but it would mean searching through my collection which would take some time.

You gonna start producing tracks in this vein?

Also nice is Fretwell (more New chool breaks style)
and of course Satoshee Tomei.

I don't know if it particularly applies to the style timsensient is looking for, but Fretwell's recent remix to "Colours of Conscience" by Jono Fernandez is one of the best tunes I have heard in years. The only way I can describe that track is that it sounds as though 12 Moons made a breakbeat track immediately after composing his wonderful song "Sliding Particles".

Layered, melodic, atmospheric, psychedelic bliss.

But I think I am off-topic now.
