For me it's one of the best CDs this year (after Orion's Artificial Frequencies). As other people said it's a combination of dark and light in psychedelic music, which simply means that it has the bottom-end of the more minimal style and the melodies of the fluffiest goa anthems (well, almost). There are few really exceptional tracks (Slinky & Stinky, Goa Sunrise, Groove Shadow, A Short Cut To Mushrooms) and the downbeat track was really suprising and fresh too, but some of them sound to much alike (espcially 4, 6 & 7) and use almost identical samples / formulas. There are some problems with mastering of track 5 too (which I mentioned in the promotional forum) and some out-of-place samples, but overall it's very good. 9/10

Very enjoyable but I think dado can do much more!

As positive: this is very psychedelic album.
As negative: some of the melodies sounds like bad improvisation.

7/10

Btw his "synthetic" project is much better with much better quality tones!

The production is among the very best on this scene and some of the tunes are amazing. Still, I don't think it's the best release this year - but definatly a recommended buy.

"Goa Sunrise" has been hyped for the last half year or so, and it's well deserved. Marvelous track with some of the best melodies this year. I'm in love. Also worth mentioning is "Groove Shadow", that indeed is a groovy monster of a dancefloor bomb, and the surprise on the album "Purplestar". Definatly a great ending to a great album.

Overall I'm amazed, and I can't wait to hear him in Copenhagen new years eve. One last note though: The cover is a bit cheap - no inlay or anything. But ok, it's the music that counts

Verdict: 8/10          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Angel Mike : Ok what we have here?

Devil Mike : New Deedrah album.

Angel Mike : Ehm new Deedrah album?

Devil Mike : Yes a new Deedrah album.

Angel Mike : Are you sure about that Mike?

Devil Mike : Yes Mike get your mind straight this is the new Deedrah album.

Angel Mike : Ok ok i got it,this is the new Deedrah album (faints)!

After listening to Reload album for more than 200 times (i am serious about that) i am in the happy position of holding in my hands the bright new album of the one and only Dadoski also known as 'The Man Who Destroyed My Ears Due To Excessive Repetition Of His Music In My Discman'.

The cover could use some more strong colours (more orange please) but i saw Trance Alliance mentioned in the thanks section and i got so happy that i even called a friend of mine to tell it to him,i know that that is selfish but i couldnt help my self from doing it.

Sorry for being so stupid and childish in my review till now but Dado is my favorite producer ever and his music has even stygmatized my life, this doesnt happen everyday you know.

I started listening to Body And Soul at 01.12 and its 07.15 already.Thats a good start i guess.

I will begin my review saying that the whole production is of a supreme level, every track sounds solid and the production quality is the best i have heard in years,Dado is second to none in this section and i say this now cause i dont want to repeat myself later in this review.

Body And Soul and Slinky And Stinky are two similar tracks actually, they are both two superb full on tunes with some psychedelic elements in them.Body And Soul has some Synthetic elements also (Synthetic is one of the side projects of Dado for those ignorant few) and it really rocks the dancefloor,i mean the first two minutes of the track are really killing me every time i listen to them.Slinky And Stinky has some sounds from the Reload album era in it,i didnt much liked the melody throughout the track though.

Goa Sunrise is an amazing morning tune, reminded me of some California Sunshine older works in some parts, great for the early morning hours and it also contains the most hilarious and funny vocal sample in the history of psychedelic trance, when i heard a voice coming from the backround saying 'Smoke weed everyday' i fell off my seat and laughed my ass off for many minutes,i mean the guys voice sounds like a tv commercial saying buy coca cola or something like that.Dado is indeed a funny guy and he proves that when he has the chances.Very good track though the first times i listened to it it didnt impressed me much but later on i started discovering it more and more and begin to like it ofcourse more and more.

Waveburner like its name indicates will burn some dancefloors (not to mention minds) for sure.Hard kicks and pumping rythm will make you dance in every occasion.Strong track indeed.

THIS IS DEEDRAH,thats what i screamed after listening to Groove Shadow for the first time, this is the kind of tracks by Dado that makes me love him even more every time he releases something. This is for sure the best tune from this brilliant album for me,it combines groovy rythm with superb melodies, exactly the style of music that i love.I dont know if i can dance faster than my shadow (that i doubt with the extra kilos that i have) but for sure i will move my ass a lot under this tune.I also loved the intro of the track, very special one in my opinion. This will be number one in my top ten this month. Please keep more tracks like this one coming

Hellsonic was released earlier this year on Spun Records and i didnt much like it,i mean the production and the sounds are solid but something is missing from this track,i really dont know what though. Many people love this one,its a good track ofcourse but like i said before it lacks of something in order to be added in my special tracks cd case.

A Short Cut To Mushrooms is an average one.The first six minutes of the tune are just ok but after that the melodies and the rythm change and i like that a lot.It could be a little more melodic in the beggining i guess.

Well if there are Christmass Carrolls in psychedelic then that is what Pampampampam really is.It reminded me of the littler drummer song hehe.Well ok i will be bad with Dado on this one,in my humble opinion this one shouldnt be here and i would love to hear a tune like The Final Swirl or Ananda instead of the pampampampam thing. My mom liked it though, she said she reminds her of old baby songs that she used to sing me when i was still a baby, unfortunely Transwave didnt existed at that time LOL.

Finnally we have Purplestar a very very cool tune ideal for ending this amazing album, nice melodies and atmosphere that will create a happy smile on your face

Dado asked me to be strict with this album but how the heck can you be strict with one of the best albums of 2003?

My favorite tunes are 1,2,3(!),4,5(!!!),9(!)

I would rate it with 9/10 but i will give it a 8.5/10 cause i must save higher scores for the upcoming Transwave album plus i would like to hear one or two more innovative and less full on tunes by Dado like Purple Unicorn,Ananda,The Final Swirl and Gangster that were included in the Reload album and made it such a special cd for me.

Now i have something to spend my time with for the next 5-6 months so please make sure that the new Synthetic album will be released by that time please

Peace and Love to everyone out there!

Ahhhhhh
synthetic is so another level than deedra
this album is okay, but I still waiting for synthetic!
much more artistic.

nice listening here
but nothing really special or groovy as I looked from this brilliant artist.

I want more synthetic!          Get rid the pessimistic "friends" and you will find everything is much beautiful.
Everything/one is special, some of us just don't know how to appreciate it.

Last Synthetic album was amazing!

After hearing Dado at the Dragons of Trance, next time I'm at the c.d shop, I will defenitely give this c.d a try.           Majority is never right!

I really like this album. It is so good. I expected to hear nothing but the morning style full on tunes like the Reload album, but again Deedrah comes through with something more. This is kind of a cross between Synthetic and the Reload sound, but only using the best elements of both styles. Great release from one of tops in the scene. Deedrah again, does not dissapoint. Bom Shankar.
