so, this is pretty funny. who do you guys think this mystery artist actually is? The track names alone are enough to make this the most amusing trance album I've come across in a while. Would like to hear what some of you hardcore trancers have to say about this satire....
If I was more of a trancer I would probably also be really annoyed and frustrated that all the big names have turned out to be such tools and not at all psychedelic.

It is time to slay some sacred cows with Dear Psy-Trance, You Are Not Safe, a mysterious release by an artist who wishes to remain anonymous. Taking aim at several “heroes” of the psytrance world (including Infected Mushroom, Michele Adamson, Simon Posford, and Skazi), this provocative and experimental album sizzles and crackles with madcap beats, twisted sound design, and satirical sample manipulations, all delivered at a frantic pace that may leave some listeners confused and bewildered. Quick note: I wrote up that description without any input from the artist. I am not yet sure if it faithfully represents their intentions so... criticize me if you find fault with it, not them, whoever they may be
BTW I couldn't find anything about Skazi's Pepsi sponsorship anywhere, just some dead links from Isratrance. Anyone have a screen cap of whatever that was about?

It was everywhere at the time, who cares?
He never really made psychedelic trance, he always made rocked out EDM with a mild commercial trance/electro vibe and I bet with the money & sales that came with it he is not complaining.
I bet if any of the acts who pretend to be oh so underground on here and in the scene got offered a similar deal they'd take.

haha, cheers to you, Basilisk, on that "sacred cows" line
just finished listening to the whole thing.... this music is so bad that I had to stop part way through and take a break (which is when i posted this thread).
the concept is funnier than the actual music. either a lot of the music was random, or there's a lot of inside jokes that I don't really get. Not sure why he selected certain parts of some interviews, like with simon P for example. not really sure why he gets lumped in with skazi and infected other than the mere fact that he's well known and successful. All in all, I think this music could be much funnier and a little bit less grotesque, but thats just this listeners opinion. I'm sure the mystery artist is fully content with the current level of grotequerie
i feel the frustration, but at the same time.....whatever, who gives a shit? dear artist, was the time spent on this really time well spent? wouldn't it be better to go take some heavy psychedelics and humbly request that the spirits provide you with some inspiration and new musical ideas? if infected mushroom went back to making straight trance it would probably suck just as much as their rock n' roll. ::shrug:: not to start a whole debate here, but trance is sorta.....uh, hmm.. how to say this politely?.....oh, fuck it: trance is the same shit over and over again. it has hardly changed much in the last 10 years, and if an artist is going to evolve they gotta leave the psy trance festival thing behind them because that audience just wants the same thing over and over again.
so again; whatever. there'll always be a psychedelic underground regardless of who skazi sells his music to.
