i haven't really listened to any in the last....hmm....couple of years, and i'd like to . so anyone got a good compilation to recommend ?
my favorite is  sort of floating sound with good beat but without MCs, just the music .
the last ones i heard were Logical Progression compilations and it was 3 years ago at least .

Leon, you have to the right man.
Drum`n`bass is going very slow right now. i haven`t heared about a good cd in years. alot of the old drum`n`bass folk have left this genere to find better music since drum`n'bass is stuck big time. i would try to look for stuff from labels like reinforced(no cd`s as far as i know) and hospital who still makes good drum`n`bass.
i wouldn`t touch non of logical progression`s new since because its pure crapatuli.
i my self only buy something like 3-6 dnb vinyls per year.-thats the only good stuff.
if u want the REALLY good stuff is right now an hybrid between techno and drum`n`bass.
try this cd: various - 'the good good'from label called 2000black.

DK i see you're the guide to Drum n' Bass :)
thanks man
i saw a documentary about the D n' B scene in Britain and particulary "Good Looking Records", thats why i suddenly realized i like D n' B sometimes .
i don't know what they're up to these days but they used to have some really good releases with LTJ Bukem .

the problem is that Bukem is still making the same music he did in 1996-sad but true.

the best way to buy drum`n`bass is by vinyls. and you can get like 3 good singles in a year.
i would buy Logical progression 1 and 2 (i have them both) and you need not buy any other stuff from that label.
i have stopped spinning drum`n`bass moved on to other stuff.
try the cd i have given on the my first message its supposed to be fab.

good music never dies....
you can always dig and find amazing dnb(not a lot of new one)
a few years ago when i first heard dnb i thought that dnb is the future of mu-ziq,and i still do;)

hola nir.
i am sorry to say that writing slogans like good music never dies worth nothing.
things like the future of music means nothing hence music does not move forward or backword in history. things are changing.
drum`n`bass had its impact on music but right now its kinda stuck.
most of the big names r stopping to make drum`n`bass but trying to do stuff in house and techno.
infact drum`n`bass and psytrance scnene r a bit simular since both use what i see the fetish for weird stuff and thats why both work more and the same only for a little pack of devoties

thanks all , and Nir i wrote it here because in a lot of ways Drum and Bass can be a great chillout music, second it's not trance so it's irrelevant in all other sections .

Maybe it's not the d'n'b you are talking about, but I would call it intelligent melodic d'n'b. Well I dunno, I'm not an expert here. :)
I'm taling about - Leon di you hear Devaint Electronics - Blunt Instruments?

Theres a track by The Roots (RnB style) but in the end of that song theres a nice DnB beat with some nice lyrics, anyone knows about this song?
