So, a couple of weeks ago there was this mass hysteria here concerning a TV report on ecstasy which showed hidden footage of the big Celebra 2 festival...

And at the same time, we've established ourselves as THE premier destination for party freaks worldwide...

What i want to hear your opinion in is: what is the trend that's leading us? big massive trance parties, or small underground ones?
How do we keep atracting kick-ass DJs and acts, and at the same time do underground cheaper parties?
the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

That's a very good (and difficult) point... In my opinion, we should focus on the underground parties... but then comes the big question: how to make small parties with big djs and live acts... really hard one, hun???

Well, that´s a tough one. But I think in order to keep the scene (arggh) at its roots (double -arrgh), underground parties is much more like it...As for bringing famous and/or expensive acts, maybe the secret lies on sharing the costs among several parties in different states, remember that Brazil is a huge country. But then, this would require much more planning, and, specially, UNION among each and everyone of the local scenes.

yes. hard q.
there is magic in small under parties where u can just FEEL the vibe and the love of the ppl.
and on the other hand, there is nothing like watching 10.000 ppl jumping.

SMILE ! and the whole world will smile right back at you !

I think they will both suceed (small undergrounds & big comercials). In my opnion the prohibition of the raves is much far than we can imagine. Brazil is completaly CrAzY ... F*cking paradise. There is no need for we to hide           www.myspace.com/djpinmusic

I think a good way is bringing expensive artists to play in big partys, like a way to finance it... then when all is paid, he play at small partys, "just for us"..

make small underground parties with only 3 or 4 Djs!
Each DJ can play 4 to 6 hours.
The benefits are: the DJs have enough time to take the audience away into their cosmos..
The atmosphere can develop!
The costs for organizers are lower than booking 10 DJs (or whatever).
The audience will thank you! In my opinion there are too many DJs on each brazilian party. It makes no sense for me.
When we make parties in Thailand (Koh Pha-Ngan) we have only 3 DJs for the time from 10PM to 12AM. Take care about a good soundsystem and make the decoration with love. This is underground for me.

yes maybe we have too much dj's per party, and too many repetitives too...
but don't know if doing 6 hours dj set can be nice...
maybe 3h...

first of all...HI Olli!!!! =))))

Second:

Olli, I dont think there are many DJs in the WORLD who can make a nice 4,6 hour set with good technik, good track selections, making the right story ya know... so its very difficult! What if u give 4 hours for each DJ and one of them plays horribly? U will need to wait 4 hours to see changes in the party hehehe....
